My mother-in-law asked for the recipe. Enough said.

Macaroni Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
I doubled this recipe for my big eaters. I used 1 Kraft sharp cheddar and 1 three cheese macaroni from the 99cent store (which is very good on it's own), one can of celery soup and two cans of bumble bee tuna in water. My family is not picky so hubby gave it a 3, daughter a 5 and son a 4, me a 3 1/2. Overall a 4.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
Made this last night and we enjoyed it. I made double the recipe for left overs. My guest thought it was too spicy although had very good flavor. Added kidney and black beans, used all chicken broth, used store bought chips, no bay leaf. Pretty tasty! Next time I will omit the chili powder to reduce spicyness and I will use diced tomatoes.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Absolutely loved this recipe! Didn't have bay leaves so just omitted them. Used fat free milk and left over ham from last holiday. Super easy and satisfying!

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2006
I did this recipe for 15, subbed 1 cup of milk for half & half I had and added a few shakes of garlic salt. They taste pretty good but my greatest difficulty is salting food so I think it's a little salty. I wish Joe had said how much salt to start out with. We'll see how the family reacts tonight...
