Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

This tastes a lot like Chili's Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers, but as a baked dish. Very nice! I cut back on the paprika but did everything else as written, and it was perfect.

Walnut Pear Coffee Cake

This was excellent! I used wheat flour because I was out of white, and even so, it was still moist. I'm sure it's great with white flour as well. The only thing I might change would be to add more pears; 2 was a bit sparse.

Melon Smoothie

Pretty good! This would be even better if the melon was frozen (I like the suggestion of frozen melon balls). Or, you could add a few ice cubes. Other than that, I like it!

Lean Green Smoothie

This is a very interesting idea! I didn't particularly care for it, but it was not repulsive by any means. I left out the broccoli, but otherwise followed the recipe. It's certainly refreshing; the mint helps with that as well. Not sure I should have had it for breakfast - maybe more of an afternoon snack.

Pear Bread

Excellent bread! Not overly sweet. Love the chunks of pear. I cooked a little under time (maybe 50 min); it may have been a little dry otherwise. Love this unique recipe.

Fig Smoothie

This is a good idea, but I just didn't care for it. I think I would prefer it more without the orange juice, and maybe with vanilla yogurt instead. I would also recommend adding more figs per serving; it's easy to "lose" the fig flavor, which I find nice.

Clare's Whole Wheat Potato Bread

Pretty easy to make, and turned out really nice. The top of each loaf got really brown, so I ended up taking it out earlier - but that's probably my oven's fault. It's about as humid as it gets here in Louisiana, so I might add more flour next time. It was really sticky, but rose well. Might try with more honey next time to make it a bit more flavorful. Good texture, though.

Avocado Smoothie

Really great! I cut the recipe in half, and used a scoop of vanilla protein powder as well. Avocado may seem odd in a smoothie, but it was super good.

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Super good. I added jalapeno peppers in mine. I also split the recipe into two pies - each with about 4-5 layers or so. I was afraid the 7 layers would topple over in my oven.

Country Apple Dumplings

Always a hit, and very easy to make. Making it low fat doesn't seem to compromise the taste much, either - sometimes I use margarine, diet mountain dew, and reduced fat crescent rolls. My toughest critics can't tell.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Very tasty; I like the suggested seasonings. The consistency was okay, but just a little odd - tends to get very crunchy and hard on the top, while the inside is a bit too soft. Maybe need to experiment with the different types of flour/baking powder. I am not a big butter fan, but I really liked the melted butter on top. The brown sugar is a good choice, too, though it may seem odd at first.

Delicious Healthy Strawberry Shake

Pretty good! Refreshing because it's not too sweet. I used 1 cup of half and half because I was out of milk. Probably a bad choice if you're cutting calories... but tastes good.
