Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
I used 1 cup of left over mashed potatoes in place of the water and flakes and the recipe worked great

Cod au Gratin

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
My high school principal made cod au gratin for a cultural day one year and I loved it, so I just had to make it again. I found this recipe and decided to give it a shot. I've made it twice now, as is and tweaked. It's great as is or made using seasoning salt instead of salt, about a teaspoon of dried summer savoury or thyme in the sauce, and by putting a few tablespoons of dehydrated onion in the with the boiling cod. Even my fussy family liked it. Thanks Rose Small

Best Lemonade Ever

This is perfect, I only use 1 and 1/4 cups of sugar but if I were making it for kids I would use more

Mustard-Cream Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
I loved this with a pork tenderloin I made by coating it in 1/4 cup dijon mustard and 1 1/2 tsp of dried thyme.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
I used a 9x13" pan and I had spread my auntie Tammy's "goo" recipe evenly in the bottom, 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and a little over 1/4 cup of corn syrup. I let the buns rise on top of this goo and they turned out perfect!

Cheesy Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
I made a smaller batch and when I microwaved it some of the cheese hardened up and was very tough. If you want to make a smaller batch I recommend adding the cheese near the end

Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2012
The batter from a boxed angel food cake tastes gross before it's baked. The batter from this recipe tastes much better. The cake turned out light and moist. Perfect.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Amazing!!! Made this for my cousins and one said she wanted it as her birthday cake. Great texture and flavour. It doesn't hurt to just chill the filling in bowls and make pudding.

This is all I use for my pizza! Perfect texture- soft and chewy beneath toppings, crisp on the bottom. Love it!

Asparagus 'Guacamole'

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
Very good, however I used my own guac recipe with the asparagus. I might try adding some ground pumpkin seeds to the mixture next time to give it a more "nutty" taste, like avocados have

Card Club Dessert

I loved this recipe! It was rich and creamy. Make sure you mix the milk and pudding mix first as the recipe says or else it wont thicken properly.

This is awesome. To me it's just as good as the traditional 1 hour ride crust

Pear Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
This pie is awesome! My pears were on the verge of rotting so I was scared they were gong to be mealy/mushy after being cooked but they weren't (I left the slices fairly thick to further prevent this)! There are some awesome flavors going on in this pie.

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
Made this for a girl guide troop on a camping trip. They all loved it and asked for the recipe. We used 2 1/4 cups of noodles and made it in muffin tins. Don't worry- the sauce is supposed to start thin

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
I don't see why people are saying the curd layer was thin, mine filled up a tender-flake deep dish 9" shell with a bit left over (However I did use the juice of one more lemon). Meringue never works our for me so what I do is cool the filling a bit and then spoon marshmallow fluff straight from the jar onto the pie (not spreading it too much)and then brown it at 500°F for 3 minutes. It works nice, it's not as thick as traditional meringue though

4 stars for the unchanged recipe. I added 1 1/2 tsps. dried basil, 1/2 tsp. thyme and 2 tsps. Lawry's seasoning salt. Perfect taste for me! 5 stars with these seasonings. I also added some macaroni noodles to it instead of the roux.
