Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Followed the recipe to a Tee the first time and it was amazing. The 2nd time i made it I incorporated peanut butter and it was even better. Very great alternative to a flour filled chocolate cake. I brought it to work and a co-worker woofed the whole thing down!

Fabulous and easy. I added 3/4 cup of raisins, an handful of chopped walnuts, and apple pie filling (1/2 cup or so). This was amazing, everyone at work couldn't stop munching on it. Definitely a keeper!

Teriyaki Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
this is a great recipe. Changed it slightly. I used the Boboli dough and cooked it with no toppings on it for about 5-8 minutes. This made the crust nice and crispy in the middle. Then while the pizza dough cooled down i cooked cut up chicken with teriyaki sauce in a pan on the stove. Be careful not to burn the teriyaki sauce (since it has so much sugar in it). When the chicken was almost done, i added the pineapple juice and chunks. I didnt want to overcook the pineapple. While the chicken was cooking in a separate pan i cooked up a whole onion, sauteed it in a little oil. Then when everything was cooked i layed it the following: 1. Teriyaki sauce 2. Grilled onions 3. Cheese (used shredded mozzarella and a mexican blend.) 4. Added the chicken & pineapple 5. put a little more cheese on top baked it for about 10 minutes My boyfriend wont stop talking about how good it was.

Sweet Dijon Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I was looking for a Dijon mustard dressing and nothing was fitting so i modified this recipe. I used 1 large teaspoon of Dijon mustard and then eyeballed equal parts olive oil and Rice wine vinegar. i didn't have the other vinegar, then i crushed fresh garlic. It satisfied my taste buds!!

Easy Mexican Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
Oh My Goodness!!!! This is the best thing ever. I have always loved mexican hot chocolate but I have never made it until now! I did use all milk and it is sooo creamy. Also, there was a group of adults and we put peppermint schnapps in it and YUMMMMY! I was a huge hit, both with adults and kids!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
The best carmel corn ever!. I Used Paul Newmans Natural microwave popcorn and it turned out awesome. I put the popcorn in a brown grocery bag and poured the carmel mixture in there. No hassel and no clean up. One word of advise, make sure you take any unpopped kernels out before you pour the carmel mixture. I forgot and there were a couple of extra hard bites...ouch.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
This was amazing and i got reave reviews about it. I followed the recipe exactly. I think maybe next time i will add jalepenos and cheese. Very rich wonderful cornbread. I used a 9x13 pan and i think a thinner cornbread is better.

Baked Beans I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
This recipe was a winner at Easter supper. I did change things slightly, I did this strictly stove top. I took 3 cans of ranch style beans, then added a cup and a 1/2 of brown sugar. I did add the mustard and onion as previously mentioned. I forgot the Worcestershire but it was fine with out. Did add the beans for the last hours of simmering and it was wonderful

Absolutly fabulous! Only thing I changed was I added 4 tomatoes. I diced everything up and added fresh dill instead of dried and used about 2 teaspoons of it. Everyeone raved about it. I mixed this in with plain rice and it was sooooooo good

Strawberry Torte

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2005
This recipe is fabulous. I changed it slightly. I put the frozen strawberries in a pan with the cornstarch. Cooked down the strawberries and then took the cooked mixture and pureed it with 1/2 cup of sugar and once cooled poured it over the top of the torte. I think it complemented the torte more than just a little strawberry sauce. It looked great, everyone at my work raved about it, and none was left. Will make again!

This was the biggest hit at my dinner party. Easy to make and totally yummy. I used the oriental flavor package instead of the chicken so vegetarians could eat this too. Will make this again!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
Quick and super easy, sure to please. I did not saute the chicken before hand and everyone still commented on how tender and juicy the chicken was. I did double the sauce and cooked the chicken for 20 minutes longer than stated. Will definitely use this again!

Sinless Mississippi Sin

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
This is a quick easy dip that is sure to be a hit, at least in my case it was a hit! I could not find white cheddar cheese so i used monterey jack cheese which worked out perfectly. I could not keep anyone away from it. Had several people ask for the recipe. Even after it cooled down and was cold, it was still a hit. My friend said she liked it cold better. Serve it hot or cold and it will be a homerun!

Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
This was the easiest recipe ever! It comes out looking way more fancy and time-consuming than it is. I bought the pepperidge puff pastry sheets and they were fabulous. After cooking it I served it with grapes and it looked elegant and tasted great. I got a lot of compliments on it!

Champagne Peach Punch

very good and simple. I am giving it only a 4 because the people that I made the punch for were looking for more of the alcohol punch. This is great for a Bridal shower!

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2004
I made this as a b-day cake and people were coming back for 2nd and 3rd helpings. As recommended cut the oil down to 2/3 and the water to 3/4. I also made a citrus glaze for it (thought the carmel would make the cake too sweet). Citrus Glaze was 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon grated orange peel, & 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of orange juice. Perfect complement to a perfect cake!
