About this Cook
Mother of 3, Grandmother of 13, Great Grandmother of 5. I am a Registered Nurse, work part time in home health and group homes for MHMR.
My favorite things to cook
Hungarian Goulash, Tacos (beef/chicken or potato ) various way to cook chicken/ turkey, New England clam chowder, chocolate gravy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Using my mother's cookbook published in 1948. Teaching my grand children how to cook from scratch, Fixing Turkey, dressing, salads, and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
Individual meat loafs(ball shaped) w/o use of salt. Never having any left overs of food taken to a church or reunion get together. That my son, and several of the grandsons can cook as good as the girls
My cooking tragedies
Making pie dough. I can mix it up really good but whenever I try to roll it out, it all comes apart. My mother would always have to roll out the dough. Now that she is gone, I don't make home made pie dough anymore.

Flea Terminator Dog Treats
my grandson and i have made this recipe 3 x's now. our dogs love them and it has help with the flea problem. we did not roll them out, (we don't have much counter space.) we did the drop method. adjusting the size as we have 3 different size dogs...the youngest (and biggest)will gobble hers down and try to take the other dogs treat. they don't share either...thanks so much..sol/tc/bs shamrockbell

Fake Sourdough Biscuits
Real easy...couldn't wait for the dough to "cool down" much though. It still worked out really good. Family loved them. I made a 1/2 batch to try out. Will definitely have to make full batch (or more). I used a 9x13 pan to put the flour in to knead dough and shape. :) made clean up a lot easier. I sprayed tops w/butter before baking. They turned out super great Thanks, I really enjoy the receipes as I like to create a variety of meals/foods for the family.
