Chewy Brownie Cookies
I just made this last night... very easy. The dough doesn't really spread so the center stays chewy and you can fit 24 cookies on a sheet. I made about 40 cookies. They took 8-9 minutes. When I tasted the batter, it didn't taste that sweet, just chocolatey so I was worried the chocolate would be overpowering. However, once they cooled they were sooo yummy. I took them to work and everyone was raving over them. A winner for sure!

Spicy Apple Cake
Like others I increased the apples to 3 cups. It worked out that one apple made one cup when diced up so I used 3 apples. I also added ground cloves (a half teaspoon) to the batter. It took longer to cook than the recipe suggested (55 min), but that might be because of the extra apples. I also agree with other reviewers that the frosting is too sweet. I tried to make it less sweet (after I tasted the final product) by adding regular milk, but that didn't really work either. I ended up using 1/4 of the frosting I made just to put a thin layer on top to make it look nice without impacting the flavor too much. Next time I'll probably just sprinkle powdered sugar over the top for looks instead of frosting.

WWII Oatmeal Molasses Cookies
I don't like raisins so I added a 1/2 cup of chocolate chips instead. I also added 1/2t of cloves and 1/2t of cinnamon (I could have added more because I can barely taste these spices). I used pecans instead of walnuts. These are light and fluffy. The cookies don't spread on the cookie sheet so you can fit a lot on one sheet. This recipe made 52 cookies for me. These are yummy (maybe not mind blowing where I want to call a friend to tell her about them) but definitely a nice twist on just regular oatmeal cookies. I will make these again.
