Smothered Beef Liver

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
We love the traditional Liver and Onions buried in brown gravy, but I decided to try this recipe. DELICIOUS AND SO TENDER. I may make the traditional type of dish as a change, but this is definitely going to be my favorite way to prepare liver and onions. I did make a few changes due to using what I had on hand: Used can of tomato soup and 1/4 cup water (misread the recipe). I mince/freeze 2 onions to a quart bag, so I used a bag of minced onions. Didn't have oregano, but substituted Italian seasoning and added 1/2 tsp of garlic powder. I told my husband that we were having ITALIAN BEEF LIVER. He also loved the flavor and tenderness of the liver.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Excellent recipe. I had a little of the chocolate filling left over to which I added chopped pecans and spread over buttered parchment. Very good fudge! Next time that I make Fudge Puddles, I plan on mixing the chopped pecans into the chocolate filling before I fill the cups.

Fancy Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This does not work as FANCY HAMBURGERS. Making the recipe exactly as written made a ground meat concoction that was too runny and could not make patties. Instead, I placed it in a loaf pan and made a sweet meatloaf, cooking it for an hour at 350 degrees. My husband and I would give FANCY MEATLOAF five stars.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
This is so simple to make and so good. I no longer buy bread for sandwiches. I make several baggies of dry ingredients in advance; then add wet ingredients in the bread machine. Dividing into 12 rolls makes dinner; into 8 Hoagie-sizes makes great sandwiches.

Sweet Potato Cheesecake

I prepared this recipe exactly as stated in the ingredients and it looks just like the picture on the recipe page! I was pleasantly surprised that it does not have a "veggie" taste, just a great cheesecake.

Libby's® Pumpkin Cheesecake

This was a family hit! Everyone was so impressed with the sheer look of the finished cheesecake as it turned out to be a "picture-perfect" cheesecake, with no changes to the recipe.

This is the ultimate recipe! Quit searching! For filling the eggs, snip the corner of a sandwich baggie. Fill with yolk mixture and gently squeeze onto egg white.

Kansas City Steak Soup

I tripled this recipe and canned the soup, using ribeye steak as the beef. When I open a jar, I find that I consume the "gravy broth" first because of the excellent taste.

Best Ever Cheese Fudge

I enjoy experimenting with tastes sensations and the thought of processed cheese as a fudge intrigued me. All the rest of the fudge recipes are going to the recycle bin because this is the only fudge recipe that I will ever make again.

Caramel Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
I was asked to take a dessert to a potluck dinner at a friend's house. This sounded so good, so I decided to make this pie with a lattice top crust. It was still warm as we cut it after dinner with ice cream. MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! The pie did not last long at the party.

Sweet-Potato Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
A friend of ours generally will not eat anything made with sweet potatoes. He thought that we were attempting to keep the "banana nut muffins" away from him. After eating several muffins, he still refuses to believe that these muffins have sweet potatoes as the main ingredient. Thank you for sharing.

Barbecue Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
I could tell from the ingredients that this would be an excellent sandwich, so I quadrupled the recipe. The meat was so tender and the taste of the sauce permiated the shredded beef. Freezing small amounts in freezer bags will make for evening meals without the mess.
