Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
Amazing flavor. The only change I would make to suit our tastes is to make it a little thicker. So thrilled I found this. Thanks for posting

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

absolutely loved these. the sauce is addicting and I will be using it for other creamed dishes. Next time I will add thinly shaved or cubed ham to the layers and have a complete meal.

Grilled Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Amazing flavor!! I cooked mine in the broiler and after reading some comments I didn't even bother use a rack since it sounded like they would probably fall through. Its not like they are sitting in fat while you're broiling them so there wasn't really a need for a rack. Absolutely scrumptious and a def keeper!

I Love My Pear Salad

Long lost old recipe. We used strawberry jello. We renamed it 'Pink Stuff' so the kids would eat it and the gobble it up.

Better Than Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I no longer make pumpkin pie EVER. I make my filling ahead and freeze so when I'm busy around the holidays all I have to do is defrost and fill my crusts. I brag about this recipe (even though it isn't mine) and share it with anyone that bakes.

Eggless Milkless Butterless Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
Outrageous! I was looking for a cake without milk butter and eggs because my cupboards were bare and luckily had the ingredients listed in this recipe. I was pleasantly surprised to find this cake is almost exactly a cake recipe I have been searching for for years. If anyone remembers the old A&P grocery stores and their Ann Page brand of baked goods this recipe is as close to Spanish Bar Cake as you will find. Now all I have to do is find a recipe that resembles the frosting. I did have to bake this a little longer than suggested and had to remove it from the oven before the center was 100% done but I didn't mind the tiny bit of the center that was still a little bit gooey since the recipes did not include eggs. Although I have eggs, milk and butter in the house now, I will be making it again today to freeze and give as gifts for Christmas

Irish Soda Bread

I just took two huge loaves out of the oven and couldn't wait more than 10 minutes before I had to butter up a slice and dig in. Perfection! I wouldn't change a thing.

Barbecued Beef Ribs for Two

I simmered ribs much longer than suggested but otherwise followed the recipe. That is some awesome sauce and I will be using it for other meats.

Birthday Bones

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
I made these 'bones' last night and my Chow was the taste tester. He gives it a big PAWS UP!. I made these treats as Christmas gifts for the canine cuties in my life. I used a candy cane shaped cookie cutter. I even made kitty sized treats so as not to leave out the feline. Thanks for the recipe!!
