About this Cook
My love for cooking and baking was passed on to me by my beloved mother. At an early age I was taught how to make everything from soup to nuts and it has now become a passion. I sit down to read a cookbook like many people enjoy a juicey novel. I have catered affairs for friends and family and hope some day to make a living with my skills.

My cooking binges are usually seasonal. There are traditional recipes for each Holiday and season.
My cooking tragedies
While I was taught to cook so many things when I was young, somehow meatballs had fallen through the cracks and I never attempted to make them until I was married. I was very excited to make a lovely Italian meal for my new husband and tackled the task with great enthusiasm. I knew that ground beef usually shrunk when cooked so I took great care in making my meatballs the size of softballs. I figured if I started with a softball I would certainly end up with golfballs when then were done. Well, obviously I was sadly mistaken. Somewhat embarassed I served two meatballs on top of pasta, hoping all the while 'he' wouldnt notice the fact that it was the size of a small grapefruit. It was a humbling experience to say the least. Now I remember, you can never know enough about any topic. There is always something to learn. The moral of the story I suppose; Never make your meatballs so large they are mistaken for sports equipment.

Grilled Chicken Burgers
Amazing flavor!! I cooked mine in the broiler and after reading some comments I didn't even bother use a rack since it sounded like they would probably fall through. Its not like they are sitting in fat while you're broiling them so there wasn't really a need for a rack. Absolutely scrumptious and a def keeper!
