I am a student in bioecology and a model who's very healthy. I'm also a paranormal romance author who loves summer and lying in the sun! I have IBS and that provoked a lactose intolerance and I had to go gluten free as well. Since then, I decided to be vegetarian and to only eat healthy fresh food.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Californian and healthy Hawaiian recipes. I love everything tropical, like fruits and coconuts. I also love cooking Cajun food (a healthy version though!) since my mima raised me and she was from New Brunswick, she used to cook Cajun food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess I started a tradition! I was bored with the same old same old for Christmas and the holidays. So, I've decided to try tropical dishes instead and it's a hit! We love it and I guess now it stays for the holidays!
My cooking triumphs
My vegetarian lasagna is a huge success every time I make it. Every single person who tried it, LOVED it! So, I'm kinda proud of that lasagna! I am also known for my fruit salads and healthy gumbo that people love!
My cooking tragedies
I once made a huge batch of blueberry cookies. Everybody loved them. One day, I served them to my great uncle. My uncle Yvon tasted one and asked me "is it suppose to taste salty?" I realized at that moment, I mixed up the sugar with the salt! From that day, I taste everything! Especially if it looks like sugar! LMAO!

Jazzed Up Couscous
This was my first couscous recipe and I really liked it. It's a wonderful foundation for a recipe. I added mushrooms, asparagus, kernel corn, veggie broth (no sodium/gluten free instead of water) and some celery too. Spices and herbs, I've added sage, rosemary, oregano, marjoram, Cajun spices, chipotle and a little bit of turmeric.
