I am a student in biotechnology, I also am a model who trained a lot! And a comic book illustrator who LOVES to cook and lay in the sun! I also am OBSESS with COCONUT!!!
I have IBS and since that day, I decided to be vegetarian and to eat only healthy food. Although I sometimes treat myself with either candy or a steak.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Cajun food (a healthy version though!) since my mima who also raised me was from New Brunswick, she used to cook Cajun food.
I also love to cook California and healthy Hawaiian recipes.
I also LOVE to bake healthy goodies, like cookies, cupcakes, muffins and cakes.
I love to cook with coconut, quinoa, couscous, Yves Vegetarian (brand), fruits and veggies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess Cajun cooking is kind of a tradition.
At Christmas we have a tradition to make sugar cookies and a recipe of a cake in form of a log that is from my great mima on my my grandfather's side. She was an amazing baker!
But I started a tradition: to try as many dish as we can during the year! ;)
My cooking triumphs
My vegetarian lasagna is a huge success every time I make it. Every single person who tried it, LOVED it! I'm very proud of it, because I would have never thought I'd be a good cook!
My Cajun healthy and vegetarian gumbo is a favorite. My couscous too.
I'm very known for my bakeries. I love my sweets!
My cooking tragedies
I once made a huge batch of blueberry cookies. Everybody loved them, so I decided when my great-uncles and great-aunties would arrive, I would serve them my blueberry cookies.
I baked them without tasting, it gave me about 50 cookies.
I put them on a plate, served them outside, my uncle Yvon tastes one and he asked me "is it suppose to taste salty?"
I realized at that moment, I mixed up the sugar with the salt! From that day, I don't put anything in my cooking bowl without tasting it first! Especially if it looks like sugar!!! LMAO!!!
