With a little salt, pepper, and garlic this was perfect. Very good consistency.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Just made a batch of these and they were delicious. Halved the recipe but made no other changes. Toasty on the outside but soft on the inside, very tasty.

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
I also cut the baking powder down, to 2 heaped tsp., and added a dash of vanilla, but I've made the recipe as written just to check it out that way snd the increase in baking powder doesn't hurt anything, it's just not neccessary.

Durbin Hotel Sugar Cream Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
I made this for my Father who absolutely LOVES sugar cream pie, and he ate every bit except for the one piece I got to eat myself ^_^ Much tastier than a wick's and definitely worth the effort.

Basic Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
These were a super simple recipe and makes a great substitute for my normal biscuit recipe when I'm out of self-rising flour. Didn't make any substitutions but I think it's easily adaptable if you wanted to do addins like cheese, spring onions, or ham. A little heavy if you wanted to go sweet with it though, IMO.

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
I'll be honest, I never thought this recipe was going turn out well, the dough was sticky and the thought of no butter inside the biscuit was unappealing, and the only reason I tried it was that my usual biscuit recipe needs to be babied and I felt like being lazy. I was severly wrong and I wholeheartedly admit it, as these were very tasty. Made 2 changes, cut the sugar in half and added 1/2tsp salt, and when the biscuits were finished baking I basted them with more melted butter. Thank you for the simple and delicious recipe.

Aunt Dot's Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
This recipe is a great dollar stretcher. I like to add more flavor by taking the big pot I'm going to make the stew in and frying the bacon in it, removing it to add back in later, then caramelizing the onions in the reminants. Follow the rest of the recipe as is, and when you add the potatoes to the pot make sure to get up all the good bits off the bottom of the pan with the potato water and it'll make it extra tasty.

Corn Souffle

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
I have made this several times family gatherings and Thanksgiving, and it's always one of the first things gone! It does make a lot, so if it's just for my honey and I I'll halve it, plus add some shredded white cheddar on top.

Really Basic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2003
A great recipe for when you need a cookie fix fast ^_^ Tips: * sprinkle plain unsalted peanuts and a little extra brown sugar on top of the cookies for decoration * make sure to give plenty of space between cookies, they will spread quite a bit * if you add peanuts or chocolate chips to the mix, make sure to decrease the amount of brown sugar slightly

Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
A great meatloaf find for those of us who don't/can't eat red meat. I have prepared this for my boyfriend and I, as well as for an office potluck and everyone just loved it. I sometimes cut the amount of balsamic vinegar in half and used 1/4 cup of worstchester sauce to give a little stronger flavor.
