Apres Ski French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
This is very good. I didn't have a fresh orange for zest so substituted that and the sugar for 1 T orange marmalade. I also reduced the milk to 1/2 cup as it just seemed too much. A keeper!

Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
Great combination of flavors. But fortunately I read it wrong and used chopped tomatoes instead of sauce, and it was delightful.

Baked Buffalo Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
I tried this both baked and fried. They both taste great, but the fried do look more appetizing. I did reduce the buttermilk, but also added some of the marinade mixture to the eggs. And frying in coconut oil is wonderful.

Broiled Short Ribs

Very good. I used homemade chili sauce instead of catchup and cooked in a crock pot a few hours. We didn't even wait until dinner to chow them down.

Spring Biscotti

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
Great basic recipe to add to if desired. I happened to have messed up brownies and used those as the chocolate . Preferred almonds and only had a lemon instead of an orange. All were good. Buying an orange to make more tomorrow. Lots more brownies available. Bake sale coming up!

Spicy Orange Chicken Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
Strong hoisin taste, but great. I tweaked with a little honey and some drops of chili and sesame oil. Served over chicken nuggets that had been breaded with Panko and fried in coconut oil. Yum.

Jamaican Barbecue Sauce

This is an outstanding BBQ sauce. I've made it so many times. If I want to can it, I leave out the bacon grease.

Melt In Your Mouth Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
Wonderful. I only had butter so that was used. I also skipped the chips so I could cook them in heart shaped mini-tins. Plan on these for a bake sale. 5 star approved by those I shared with. However, the next three times I made these, they fell completely flat and over flowed beyond use. I'm an experienced cook, but my baking skills have deteriorated since my daughter is so much better. But I did salvage the crumbs into a biscotti recipe to replace chocolate chips!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Needs a touch of salt and ready to go. Earlier I increased the recipe for dry ingredients and assembled them. Now I just use a T for each single use.

Sweet Spicy Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
The sauce is AWESOME. It was just what I was looking for. I did try a couple more things. One batch I added 1/2 cup of orange marmalade. I also breaded the wings with flour, egg wash and Panko (in that order). Baking then keeping in a crock made it perfect for a later appetizer.

Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Very tasty and easy. I prefer more tart so upped it to 1/2 cup rice vinegar. I wasn't sure why the oil, but next time I'll use coconut for additional sweetness.
