Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
I tripled this recipe, yes tripled, and it turned out great. I only had 2% milk and margerine so next time I'm going to use whole milk with some half and half, and real butter to make it richer but it was very easy and delicious this first time making it. My husband had never tasted homemade pudding and was blown away with the taste. He may eat all of it by himself in one night if I don't hide some in the freezer soon, LOL! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This was a huge hit with my family who asked me to file it under COMFORT FOOD! I didn't have the wild rice or granules so I used white rice (instant at that, lol) and chicken broth for the water. I also added diced onions and sage (a must for me with pork), and only baked it for 1 hour. I can play with this recipe for the next 30 years and will not tire of it. Thanks for posting it!

Homemade Chicken Fettuccine

WOW! This is a great recipe. We had most of the ingredients except heavy cream so used evaporated milk with excellent results. We tweaked the spices to our personal tastes. What impressed us the most was how easy it was to create such an elegant main dish. Thank you sharing.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
My dough was too sticky to roll into balls so I added about 1/3 cup of flour. I had no other problems but will try adding alittle more sugar next time, too. I let my cookies cool then put some of them into a bag with powder sugar to dust them and they turned out to taste like a cross between danish wedding cookies and pecan sandies...very yummy. I also only dipped top side in sugar and pressed them down some before cooking to flatten as I love to dip my cookies in milk, hot tea, and/or coffee. The next time I make these I'm going to add a cup of mini-chocolate chips.

Italian Wedding Cake

All I can say is...WOW! Hubby helped and accidently dumped in a whole can of crushed pineapple instead of 1/2 cup and cake still turned out great. I could sell these cakes for profit but that would take the fun out of making them. End results are worth all the effort. Thanks for sharing!!!

These cookies were almost bland even after I added some butterscotch chips to dough and rolled tablespoon sized balls into sugar before baking.

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
I got a call from my youngest stepson right before he completed Army boot camp. He begged me to make homemade chocolate chip cookies. Knowing he would share with his unit, I found this large recipe and made them. They were a huge hit at Fort Jackson and were gone within 24 hours. Everyone loved how chewy on the inside and lightly crisp on the outside they were. I won't change a thing when I make them again EXCEPT cutting the recipe in half when not feeding a crowd, lol. Thanks for sharing.

French Onion Soup V

This is a delious soup! Turned out great first time even though I cut recipe in half and didn't add as much thyme as called for. I will make a full batch next time as I think this is one of those soups that will taste even better as left-overs. Thanks for sharing.

Shepherd's Pie IV

Great basic recipe!!! I used ground beef, minced garlic, and made my own real mashed potatoes. Hubby and I loved it but will tweak it according to our tastes. Am going to sprinkle red pepper chips in meat and onion mixture to make it spicer. I see endless variations in this future pie. Thanks for sharing!

Candy-Coated Milk Chocolate Pieces Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
Thanks for sharing this recipe!!! I use this recipe a lot of different ways as a basic cookie recipe. I've used chocolate chips instead of M&Ms, and nuts instead of M&Ms. I've also made them plain and have always gotten great praise for them. I always double the recipe (except the salt) and get over 8 dozen regular sized cookies! Yummy.
