Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
I used this recipe for the first turkey I ever made and it turned out delicious!! I stuffed the inside of the turkey with 1/2 an onion, about 5 cloves of garlic, and some fresh basil and sage as well and it was even more flavorful. And it turned out exceptionally juicy as well. I will use this recipe each time I make a turkey from now on!!!

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
What a fabulous snickerdoodle recipe! These are my favorite cookies and I hadn't found a great recipe for them until now. I sent them to a friend for his birthday and he inhaled about 15 at once and now requests them every time I see him. Awesome!!

Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2003
This was the first pork roast I have ever made it I was pleased with it, however it was a little dry. I made it in a crockpot for about eight hours and added some rosemary as well. I would make it again, but with a few changes to make sure it didn't end up so dry.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2003
What a great icing recipe! It dries into a beautiful icing and it is tasty as well. I used vanilla extract instead of almond and did what some others suggested by increasing the amount of milk and corn syrup by one teaspoon and it turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing this recipe!! :)

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
WOW!!! This was delicious! I used devils food cake mix and instead of the coffee liqueor, I used chocolate syrup. I just dusted the top with powdered sugar and called it a day. I think that this is good warm, but it is even better the next day after it has sat in the fridge. It is awesome cold. . .very gooey!! Thanks for sharing!

FABULOUS! I made this once and it became my signature dish among my friends. They request it often and never tire of it! Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
All I can say is WOW! Not only was it a cinch to make, it smelled awesome and ended up tasting incredible! I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. There was a lot of glaze, but I used it all anyway. Made it for work and it was gone in a flash with everyone asking me to make it again soon. Thanks Sue for sharing such a sensational recipe!! :)

Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
I made this for a potluck and brought home an empty bowl and loads of compliments! Easy to make, as long as you don't mind a lot of chopping. I didn't have pimentos and put in basil instead of cilantro (it was what I had on hand). Great summer salad, very fresh and different. It is a beautiful salad as well!

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
Great recipe. I used the ingredients listed, didn't add the melted butter, and used fat free sweetened condensed milk. Sort of tasted like Seven Layer Bars, but really good. I am going to try them next time with sunflower seeds, dried apples, and cinnamon.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
Soooo good and easy! I followed some of the other reviewers recommendations and with those modifications, it was great. I used one can stock and one can cream of chicken soup. Make sure the black beans are WELL rinsed. I also used rotisserie chicken from the grocery store instead of the canned chicken. I also added cumin, red pepper, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Right before serving, I added some chopped cilantro. Served with shredded cheese, tortilla chips and a dollop of sour cream. You really can't go wrong!

Famous Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
I have been making this recipe for a while and I make it with some slight variations. I have never added the garlic powder or pepper. I just brown the chicken, add the garlic and onion and then put in equal parts white vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, and water (start with 1 c each...use enough to cover the chicken in the pot). Then I let it simmer for an hour. It is AWESOME! If you haven't tried chicken adobo, it is a must and this recipe won't steer you wrong!

Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I was really hoping for great things with this marinade, and it didn't wow me. The marinade smelled wonderful and I marinaded my chicken breasts for 48 hours before grilling them. The garlic was not very noticeable in the end product. I'll try this again only on steak and see if I like that result better.

Traditional Hot Cross Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
This was a great and easy recipe. And I loved that it only made 6...perfect for me! I didn't have any currants, so I substituted with cranberries. And I also chopped the raisins and cranberries so they presences wasn't as obvious in the finished rolls. I also added about 1 t orange zest. Not sure why, but I had to make a double batch of the icing. I will make these again!
