Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

Taste was outstanding. Not dry at all, perfect.Easy to make. I did it really quickly and didn't use a round cutter. I just cut the dough into 12 pieces. I posted a picture. I also thre it into a stand mixer. I'll try it again when I have more time to spend. I have no doubt I could get taller biscuits if I took more care in mixing, rolling and folding.

Pesto Chicken Florentine

This is a simple recipe and it is basically chicken alfredo with a few additions. I am not a big alfredo fan, but my husband is. I made this exactly as written except I added mushrooms. I am knocking off a star just because the flavor wasn't very deep, not because I don't care for alfredo that much (that's not the recipe's fault). I added salt and pepper and squeeze of fresh lemon to my own plate to perk it up.

Simple Turkey Chili

I made this on september 5th. It was delicious, except there was a little too much water and I would have preferred it thicker. I went into labor right after that and had a baby four hours later, eight weeks premature! Funnily enough, my midwife asked me what I had eaten for dinner. So I don't think I'll eat it while pregnant again, but I'm making it tonight since the baby and I are safe at home now :0)

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

this recipe came to my inbox. this is really simple and is actually something I already make. the only difference is that I usually use half a whole chicken. I like the idea of using chicken thighs though. the only other thing I do different is I don't think I have put oregano in the spice mix before. but i can vouch for this being really good and easy. if you like roast chicken you will love this.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

I needed a half cup of bisquick for a recipe. I divided this recipe's servings by 20 and whipped this up. I would like to make a half sized batch and either keep in the fridge or leave out the shortening and keep in the pantry. Just a tip, if you hate cutting in shortening or butter like I do, throw it in the blender and pulse a few times. I didn't make any biscuits out of it, so not sure how it holds up in that area. But as a baking mix it is great.
