I'm a busy college student who doesn't like the fuss of measurements, so don't ask me to give you a recipe! They're in my head!

Butte pasties, kringlor (almond pastry), corned beef & cabbage, sweet potato salad, mom's potato salad.
My cooking triumphs
When I have the right ingredients and an ambitious streak, I make a mean dish of venison enchiladas.
My cooking tragedies
My first time making chocolate chip cookies by myself, I didn't know what mixed fractions were, so for 2 1/2 cups flour (or something like that), I put two, half-cups (translation=1 cup) of flour. Needless to say, I was young and hadn't learned about that in math class yet! On Easter, I put the glaze that comes with the ham and pineapple juice in a plastic container in the microwave. That day, I learned our smoke detector didn't work. My eyes burned for hours and I had to open every window and door (the container melted in the microwave). Also, did you know that half'n'half boils over really quickly and doesn't like to foam when you try to make an espresso with it?

Chile Relleno Casserole
I don't know if it's because I live in high altitude and/or if it's because I used skim milk, but it would not cook in the center. I cooked it at 375 for over an hour and it still would not. I finally took it out when the eggs were cooked, but the milk was a puddle in the center, scooped out the liquid and put some heated enchilada sauce on it to save it. I will try a bigger dish next time and less milk. It was very good, other than the liquid fiasco, which also made it look unappetizing. I also added hot sauce and hot spices to the meat and onions.
