Oh hey there! I'm Kourtney; a seventeen year old girl with a passion for cooking anything and everything. Many of my recipe's cater to low calorie (very low calorie at times) and 'diet'/healthy foods, seeing as I am currently struggling with an Eating Disorder and may use this as a recipe log (I am conducting a Project for my school and will be compiling recipes for those struggling with eating disorders), but fear not! I cook for my family as well most of the time, so I definitely can't skimp out on flavor or taste with a family like mine. I live in Hawaii, I cook a lot of Asian-inspired and baked goods. I've been cooking for about three years now, and don't really follow a book. So a lot of my recipes are personal one's I've made through trial-and-error. Hope you can enjoy some of them!
My favorite things to cook
Asian/Indian-inspired, noodles, casseroles, breads, cookies, meat dishes, and soups. A little bit of everything, really. Can't go wrong with variety!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes this really awesome Asian chicken curry and beef stew. Me Gran' makes great desserts, and oh, forgot to mention that my mom makes majority Asian-inspired/Hawaiian dishes. So I definitely loooove all of those.
My cooking triumphs
I've made some really awesome bread pudding, stir fry's, marinated meats (from scratch, the sauce(s) of course), simple-and-sweet cookies, and just sort of make-shift recipes from whatever the hell we have in the pantry. Like I said, I usually never follow a recipe/book for my cooking.
My cooking tragedies
Lemon meringue pie was a tough one for me, then again...I was twelve. Oopsie. I haven't had many, actually. I MAY HAVE SPOKEN TOO SOON. xD
