Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I have tried a lot of recipes for Mac & Cheese and this is by far the best. I make no changes to this recipe, just ad salt and pepper. This is my go to recipe quick and easy!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I have made this recipe several times over the past couple of weeks. I have found that hard French bread works the best for this recipe. Like other reviewers I only use 3 eggs and I add 1\2 teaspoon of nutmeg. I mix up all the ingredients and put the bread in the bowl so that it absorbs all of the liquid. Once absorbed I pour into the baking dish and bake for an hour. I have tried this recipe using regular slice bread and I found that 6 slices is not enough, it is better to use as much bread as possible to soak up the mixture or you will have an egg/custard type outcome. I also made this recipe using sour dough and it still came out great, even tough I went overboard with the amount of bread used. Overall, my family LOVES IT!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
I have been using this exact same recipe since High School some 20 years ago. RAVE reviews each and every time. In addition to making bars, I also make it as a cake using 9 inch pans. I also top these with walnuts which I think gives it something extra as far as flavor.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
AWESOME!!! MY PICKY BROTHER LOVED IT! Like other posters I used only chicken broth instead of water. I also added 1 tbs of galic and parsley flakes and extra potatoes. YUMMY! I have made this soup too many times to count, everyone loves it. To add a bit of a twist to this soup, I add cooked Turkey Sausage to the soup in the last 10 minutes of cooking. I also garnish with fresh kale and bacon. The outcome is a soup very much like Zuppa Toscana soup from the Olive Garden.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: May 5, 2004
I have been making this recipe for years. For those of you who reviewed this as bland or tasteless try the following: Instead of Cream of Mushroom (family don’t care for mushrooms) I use Cream of Chicken with Herbs, this adds wonderful flavor. I also use extra Swiss cheese. I also cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks. Before placing the stuffing on the dish I mix the stuffing per the directions on the box. I then cover the entire dish with foil and remove the foil in the last 15 minutes of cooking.

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2003
3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS RECIPE...... AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! This past weekend I have made 3 batches of these cookies, they were a hit at Thanksgiving. I altered the recipe just a bit, added 1 tsp. of vanilla and used 2 tsp. of Lemon extract instead of 1 and rolled them in a combination of powered and regular white sugar. I totally blew my diet with these cookies
