My bf loved this. I didn't bother using the blender, just used the potato smasher instead to keep it sort of chunky. Added some more spices such as cinnamon, thyme, parsley, red pepper flakes, and some bay leaves. With the chicken broth, I also added half a cup of apple juice as another poster suggested. Omitted the celery and sauteed the veggies in olive oil instead of butter and garlic. I cut the squash in half, took out the pulp and seeds, brushed it with olive oil and salt, pepper, and rosemary and put garlic in the seed holes as another poster suggested and baked it on 400 for an hour before adding it to the soup. Sprinkled a little parmesan cheese on after and served with breadsticks.
