Water Chestnut Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This is very good, tasty, fresh flavors. I liked it better as a finger sandwich with watercress or as a spread on crostini however.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This recipe was a real pleaser for everyone at our New Years Eve Party! I had lots of requests for the recipe. I agree that the cinnamon grahams were best!

Chinese Cold Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This salad was a big hit at our New Years Eve party. I added minced ginger to the dressing and shredded cabbage, carrot julienne strips, and dry roasted peanuts to the salad. I found the peanut butter mixed more easily if you heat all the dressing ingredients, then chill completely or overnight.

Hot and Spicy Pecans

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
I made this recipe twice over the holidays and it got rave reviews each time! The first time I didn't have chili powder so I used a combination of Hot Shot(a blend of red and black peppers you buy in spice isle) and ground chipolte pepper. Either way, recipe was great!

Hot Sausage Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This recipe was very good, and I would make it again. I did however use Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage for the recipe as we like things spicy...as it was I'd still probably add more spice next time. I'd also add a bit more cream cheese or some other shredded/melted white cheese as it was not quite as thick as I'd expected. It was great on those tostito "dipper boats" we call them.

Easy Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
Great recipe, wouldn't change a thing! The mushrooms were a delicious bonus. I made extra and the delicious salmon was a great base for croquettes the next day.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Yummy recipe. I added thinly sliced onion rings but otherwise this one was good to go!

Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
This was the best after Thanksgiving soup yet! I had leftover mashed potatoes and I have a big family so I stretched it by adding more broth and then adding the mashed potates in with the cream, it kept it's creamy texture even with the additional broth and added flavor too!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2004
We LOVED this recipe! We used it on a ribbed poin loin roast at Easter. I used garlic, oregano, black pepper, and a little brown sugar in bread crumbs made from homemade garlic/butter croutons. My family said it was better than a gourmet restaurant meal!
