Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2014
These were delish! I really don't think anyone who edits a recipe and doesn't male it exactly as it is should submit a review and is unfair to the poster. I made two batches of these. There was enough graham crust. If you press down as it instructs it covers the bottom fine. Once all the ingredients are added if you press down firmly as it says it doesn't fall apart.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This tasted good, but not enough to deal with the mess it produced. I followed the recipe to a T. It was pretty easy to prepare. A common 9X13 was not high enough on the sides to keep everything from bubbling over onto the oven. I had drained out some of the egg mixture, but the last 30 minutes it cooked my entire house was filled with smoke and smelled terrible for the company that I had over. The taste did not knock anyone's socks off to deal with that again.

Cranberry Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This is wonderful and will be in my top appetizer list! It was simple to make, can be made ahead and tastes devine. I only used 1/2 the cranberry topping for one block of cream cheese and found it to be plenty.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This is so good! I gave 5 stars based on making this with real chicken, not canned. I boiled a pound of chicken in 1/2 inch of water, turning, for about and hour, shredded and used 2 1/2 cups. We ate with saltines. This would be good in a bread bowl. Made as directed, but in the oven. Perfect and addicting!!

I used fresh peaches (6 cups) and otherwise followed the recipes as written. It is very delicious and easy to make. I thought the sweetness was perfect.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
I love French Onion soup and searched awhile before selecting a recipe. This was perfect. I used large white onions and cut out all of the butter. I don't know what it tastes like with the butter, but it was awesome without it. I froze half of it and look forward to making this often! Thanks for a great recipe!

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
I liked this and was glad to have a new side dish. I thought one can of beans was enough and next time would cut the onions back to one or out completely. I put the 8 it called for and ended up going back and picking them out as they were entirely too strong. Good base recipe you can modify to your own taste.

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
This was really good. I only used half of the cayenne (based on other reviews) and skipped the butter. I spritzed them with a little olive oil and baked them on parchment paper (baked at 350 for 40 minutes). They turned out perfect. I served them with asparagus, hollandaise sauce and wild rice. Better than a restaurant!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This is the best beef stew I've tasted. I followed the recipe, except used beef broth in place of the water. The taste is perfect and I love it did not have heavy soup as an ingredient, so the sodium was low. Adding the flour is perfect to thicken up the sauce. My whole family love this one!

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This is so good and so easy! I added one apple, about 1/4 cup onion and 2 TB brown sugar. The taste was perfect and went really well with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Totally company worthy, too.

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
This was wonderful. I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the crust and 1 tsp vanilla to the filling and followed the remainder of the recipe. I followed the instructions on the baking to the t and my son opened the oven door once and my cheesecake turned out picture perfect! The taste is as good as any restaurant I've been to, if not better. This is a must try!!

Artichoke and Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This has become one of our favorites. I did modify just a a bit. When I take the browned chicken out, I add a 1/2 cup of water and saute some onions and use regular, undrained diced tomatoes and simmer about 20 minutes. I add a 1/3 of a box of the mini farfalle pasta. This is a great one dish meal.

Coconut Cream Cake I

I made this yesterday and it is so good! I let is soak about 5 hours and that seemed plenty. It was easy to make and so moist. I made it just as the recipe stated and it was perfect!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
I made this last night and it was the best! I followed the directions as written, seasoned overnight, but put on an oven stuffer roaster. I cooked it about a half hour after the pop up popped (total time about 4 1/2 hours). This is so worth the wait! I couldn't stop picking at it and the onions were incredible and the chicken tastes even better today! I will definitely make this often.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
I loved this. We are trying to get away from pre packaged marinades and seasonings. This was so easy and the taste was very nice. I made as written, let marinade overnight and the next day, cooked as described and the taste was perfect.

Garlic and Herb Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I am trying to reduce the packaged products that we consume, but just love a name brand garlic and herb marinade. I made a batch of this, added to 8 pork chops and froze them in bags. We cooked them tonight and the flavor was outstanding. Everyone loved this. I will be using this often and bet it is just as good on chicken or fish.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I was craving a creamy homemade macaroni and cheese and this was just what I wanted. I swapped out a 1/2 of the milk for sour cream, used shredded cheddar and added a couple dashes of hot sauce. I'm sure it would be great either way. Thanks for the recipe.

Pepperoncini Beef

I used a 2 lb chuck roast, 1 1/2 cups banana peppers with juice and sliced 1 onion. This was so wonderful. We melted cheese on crusty sub rolls and will keep this in our rotation!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

I am always asked for this recipe when I take it somewhere. It is so easy to prepare and tastes so good. I add 1 TBSP of sugar. This is excellent with everything from Thanksgiving dinner, sloppy joes, Mexican, etc. You can't go wrong with this.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
We went to San Diego and Mexico this summer and had alot of excellent, authentic Mexican dishes. This is an awesome recipe for burritos/tacos. We will probably never use ground beef again!
