Savory Caribbean-Inspired Sweet Potato Cakes
I prepared these with the sweet potatoes that grow in my country (purple on the outside and white on the inside, yellow when they are cooked). It worked pretty well, didn't crumble as much, but they did absorb all the oil and did not form a crust the way I would have wanted to. I skipped the jalapeƱo. I was also a bit confused about what sauce to serve this with, so I served them plain, but they were a bit dry for my taste, might try some tomato sauce next time; might also try adding an egg to see if they brown better and using less sugar to make them more savory. Thanks for the recipe.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie
I added a teaspoon of jalapeno pepper and cumin, a small can of sweet corn and some tomato sauce to the beef. I also mixed part of the cheese with the mashed potatoes (I used the flake kind), and added some powered garlic too. I microwaved it, since I'm too lazy to preheat the oven, and it turned out just fine. Thanks for the recipe!

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding
I cooked the apples and raisins with some butter before mixing, as one of the other people had advised, and added some maple syrup and it tasted great! I love this recipe and I use the crusts of the bread from when I make a big batch of cucumber sandwiches, so it doesn't go to waste. Perfect!
