Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: May 22, 2014
Tried it and not a fan. I did go back and make it again for a nice sirloin but used fresh herbs (left out hot pepper sauce completely and used a blend of different ground peppers) and it was so so much better....

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
I made this twice.....first time as the recipe was written.....very bland and tasted "heavily oiled"......changed to olive oil, used sweet soy sauce, added 1/4 C ketchup, lime juice instead of lemon, more garlic, salt, cilantro and smoked paprika.....the second time it was absolutely wonderful.

Blueberry Shortbread Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I made it as directed and it was not tasty at all. Next time, I will use brown sugar instead of white and cinnamon with a little lemon juice

I did not care for this recipe. Think I'll stick to my traditional Carnitas recipe.

Cajun Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
The only thing i would do different is reverse the cooking process.....cook the roast @ 425 for 15 minutes to create a crust and hold in all the juices.....then turn down 300 for the rest of cooking time.....i tried it both ways and my roast turned out juicier using the higher temp first.......

Baked Polenta with Fresh Tomatoes and Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
This recipe is very good. The changes i made, as one other reviewer did, was to sub the parm for a blend of Italian cheeses.....I also diced up fresh garlic and marinated the tomatoes and basil with the garlic, in olive oil......served with a red sauce(not bought in a store) and it was very good.

Pasta Fagioli Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
I come from an Italian family. A real Italian recipe uses fresh everything. I used Italian sausage, fresh crushed tomatoes, fresh spinach, fresh garlic, fresh parsley, oregano and basil.....and it was wonderful. Baked 2 loaves of french bread and it was a meal to remember......I will use my version from now on.
