Nougat Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
This is one of my favorite cookie recipes! Everything came out perfect, including the nougat. I kept it at medium heat and the sugar melted perfectly and hardened quickly. I did as some of you suggested and I substituted the water for the vanilla extract and it was great. I like that the cookies were thin, crispy and chewy all at the same time. The only thing was that I had to add alot of extra flour so the dough wouldn't stick when I tried to roll it up. Other than that, it was great, gone in 3 days!!! Very unique flavor, too.

Chicken Milanese

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
This was a pretty simple recipe to make. The taste was good, could be better. I added oregano to the bread crumbs to give it a little more flavor. Besides that I stuck to the recipe, and it turned out good for a simple weekday family meal, but probably not for company. And you do have to be very careful that your oil doesn't get too hot, because the breading will burn very quickly while the chicken is still pink inside. I probably will make again.

Creamy Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
This recipe was really good, but I hardlystuck to it!!! First, instead of boiling my chicken, I browned it in olive oil, mince garlic and salt to give it flavor. Then for the sauce I added xtra milk plus evaporated milk. I didn't have any mozzarella so I added asiago and parmesan. It gave it alot more flavor and I highly recommend using these cheeses. I added a 4.5 oz. can of mushroom stems and pieces, and I didn't have any peas so I just did it like it was. The sauce turned out really good!!! : )

Perfect Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
Delicious cake! The frosting was the BEST chocolate frosting I ever made, and the texture was perfect. The only thing was that I had to make 2 batches of it because I wanted to cover the top of the cake too. And that whipped cream was delish. I had never made whipped cream before. The only thing was that I put it on the cake too soon and it melted. Good thing I had plenty of it! Overall it was great, and it was a hit at my dinner party. Thanks for sharing!! : )

Classic Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
I made this cake once. The cake itself was pretty good, it was tasty. Only the frosting DID NOT have the right consistency. It was more like a glaze and it wouldn't stay on the sides of the cake so I only frosted the top. My family said it was delicious, but it just didn't taste like the red velvet cake we all know and love. The frosting definitely sucked. My cake looked horrible!!! I was so mad, but I just covered it up with strawberries. It was good for the first time, but I think I'm trying a different recipe for the next.

Butterfinger Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
Awesome cookies!!! I've made these twice already and my whole family LOVED them. The only thing was that I had to add alot of extra flour because even if you use just the egg whites, it doesn't get that cookie dough texture that it needs, it was more like a batter. So take my word for it, you're gonna need alot of extra flour. And don't use the whole egg. Other than that they were delish. Me and my dad's favorite cookies!!! : )
