Potato Bacon Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I used this recipe as my base, but tweaked it a bit. I boiled potatoes, onion, and green peppers in chicken broth. Then added the milk, sour cream (but just about 4 ounces), bacon, cream of chicken soup, and a can of creamed corn, and let that simmer for about 5 minutes. Then I added some shredded cheddar, and some leftover mashed potatoes I had. The mashed potatoes thickened the soup really nicely, and added a great texture to the soup. I think I may do this from now on. It was great!

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2004
Delicious and a great alternative to canned cranberry sauce. My family was relieved to not see the can-shaped gelationous blob this year. Be careful how much water you put in it, and I like to only put in one cinnamon stick. Other than that, even the cranberry sauce haters went crazy for this recipe. The excess was used on rolls-- I even saw my grandfather put some on the ham.

Tim's Green Bean Casserole Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2004
This has taken the place previously reserved for the Campbell's green bean casserole at every holiday dinner since I first made it. Everybody raves about it. I do substitute the fried onions for the cornflakes, though.
