Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
This is a very good recipe but I do think it would be better with just plain sausage or maybe hot. The maple sausage was too sweet. I like to make mine with plain sausage and top it with Crystal hot sauce!!!!

Cabbage Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
Thought this sounded interesting so thought I would try. I seasoned my ground beef by adding seasoning salt, dried onion instead of fresh and added a few other spices (all Penzey's spices). These were very good but a little time consuming. Next time, I am sure it will be easier since I have an idea of how they are to turn out. Forgot to add some cheese as other reviewers suggested. Will try next time!

This was a great recipe! I did add some fresh minced garlic and a little sumac powder and marinated this overnight. Will definitely make this again.

Fatoosh

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2005
I loved this recipe!!! I like to try different recipes and this was really good. I did cut back on the lemon juice a little and just a little on the sumac powder but it was a wonderful salad! Definitely like it alot!!! One more thing...you can find sumac powder at www.penzeys.com. They have great spices....the only brand I purchase!!!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
This is wonderful!!! Even better than bottled Ranch dressing. Added minced shallot and bacon bits to dressing and it was outstanding. This is now my dressing of choice to make!!!! Might also be good with fresh minced garlic!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2005
These are absolutely the best blueberry muffins I have ever had! Recipe is easy and they taste great. Not too sweet that you can't taste a little of the tartness from the berries. I will definitely be saving this recipe and making them every time I buy fresh blueberries. Crumb topping is wonderful on top. Makes for a beautiful muffin!!! Thanks for the great recipe!!!

RamJam Chicken

This was fairly good but do not like as well as the bacon wrapped shish kebobs on this site. It just seemed like something was missing.

BBQ Potatoes with Green Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
These were very good! It might help to spray foil with Pam cooking spray so potatoes won't stick! Also, next time will probably put in more butter and maybe some bacon bits!!!

Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
I did have to make some adjustments to this because I didn't have everything needed. I used dark brown sugar instead of the light brown sugar, left out the seasoning salt and garlic pepper seasoning and added shallot pepper seasoning and red pepper flakes. Marinated the meat overnight. My husband and I really enjoyed the flavor of the meat! It was excellent. I think marinating overnight was the key to more flavorful meat! Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
Next time I make these, I will probably make some more adjustments to the recipe. I think it could have used more blue cheese, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. When I made these, I did increase the Worcestershire sauce to 1 tablespoon but it could probably use more for the 3 lbs., maybe 1 tablespoon per pound of ground beef. Just a personal preference though.

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
When I make these, I add some dried onion (start with 1 tablespoon) along with the hamburger, salt and pepper. Drain fat and then add the water. When putting sandwiches together, add a slice of american cheese on bun top and then pile meat on bottom of bun. Add dill pickle slice on top of meat. This stuff is wonderful. Can't get enough of them!!!! (I leave out the mustard, tastes great without!!!)

Spinach Muenster Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2004
This was a little too spinachy for me, and I love spinach. Seems to be too much of this and not enough egg mixture. Wasn't sure how just putting the cheese in bottom of pie plate would work but it doesn't STICK!

Kathie's Grits Casserole

I do a lot of cooking and thought this sounded good but it was very bland tasting. Ended up putting salsa on top to finish up the big dish of it.
