Chef John's Pumpkin Creme Brulee

OMG this is a great recipe I first tried the pumpkin custard at Cracker Barrel it was served with ginger snap cookies and a caramel mousse it was awesome well this recipe is much much better I made the cookies and the mousse really guys this is better then anything you can get in a resturant just a few extra steps and WOW give it a try instead of brulee add ginger snap cookies smashed up on top and caramel mousse yum.

Chef John's Caramel Apple Pie

great pie just put alittle corn starch in it and it well be even better unless you like really runny pie I have made it both ways and the corn starch makes all the difference in the world and use at least 3 to 4 different apples gives it a better flavor love the recipe

Chef John's Classic Beef Stroganoff

OMG this was to die for yes it is that good and I like medium noodles it was awesome like all your recipes I also so made your molten lava cake for after dinner well the hubby would nott stop eating it sohe had no room for dessert and he loves dessert but he loved the stroganoff more I was very suprised the power of meat and noddles and yes I made my own creme fraiche come on people it is so easy to make save your money and make it

Chef John's Ranch Dressing

Everything Chef John makes is awesome and this is really really great as well love this recipe will never eat bottled dressing again and my grandson is only 3yrs old and he will not eat Hidden Valley Ranch he wants grandma's salad dressing I thought it was weird he is 3 so I did a test and he knew so yes even a 3yr old can tell the difference so great job Chef John love your recipe's please keep posting them

I made these for me and my Hubby I usse 2 dish instead of 4 and OMG I am a dark chocolate lover and this was totally awsome love them I was looking at my recipes and Chef John is 99% of my recipes he is great keep it up love your cooking

Tiramisu Chocolate Mousse

I have made this alot I made it today for me and my Mom who is alcoholic so I had to make it with out the wine or rum so I used imitation rum it was asgood as the real thing and she loved it so I just wanted to let those who need to drop the rum or wine the imitation is just as good

Peanut Butter Frosting

Love this recipe I did make a couple of changes I added vanilla extract 1 tsp makes the peanut butter taste stand out and added just a bit more peanut butter 1/3 cup more and cut the powered sugar by one cup was to sweet for me so I guess I changed the whole recipe hum sorry but it gave me a better taste and gave me the idea of peanut butter frosting

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

This cookie is more like a cake cookie I like crispy chocolate cookies they are good but not for me no matter how much you cook these they do not crisp up they are a lot like a mini cake cookie sorry not for me

great recipe it is good on everything made enough to use for everyday. I made tamales and rubbed the pork with this Adobo omg it was awesome you would have thought I was Hispanic lol I am a so proud of myself even the guys at my hubbies work thought it came from a Mexican restaurant great recipe thank you for sharing it

Light or Dark Brown Sugar

I will never buy Brown or Dark sugar from a store ever again this is a awesome recipe I am so glad I found this easy to make and store I feel if you store it over night the flavors develop better just to let you know but if you need it it is good to use right after you make at love this recipe truly do and thank you JillH for sharing this with us

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

I have made it with crescent rolls and made it with puff pastry omg you have to try the puff pastry it makes it out of this world and my hubby loves walnuts so I added them to and this is a awesome sweet dessert that is great I will be making this for along time I also added a vanilla bean instead of pure vanilla extract it makes a world of difference give it a try this recipe is very easy to make and to add your own twist to it

Southern Pimento Cheese

I have made Pimento and cheese for along time. We had dinner in NC and I had the best pimento and cheese ever the one thing I was missing was the cream cheese OMG it makes all the difference in the world this pimento and cheese is just like the one we had in NC love it thank you for the recipe it is truly awesome

Homemade Butter

I was in a pickle I an out of butter I never run out and I was in the middle of making something and could not go to the store so I looked up how to make home made butter I always have heavy cream on had thank goddess so I made butter and it was awesome I will never buy butter ever again this recipe is so easy and fast give it a try.

Key Lime Pie VII

I live in Florida and I have a key lime tree I my back yard so I have key limes year round and this is a great recipe and I also like to make candied key lime zest for the top gives it that special something my husband loves my pies even his work is asking for them he goes to work and they always ask what I am making lately I have been on a homemade ice cream fix I made key lime ice cream who new it would be a big hit just take the key lie pie mix and refrig over night and but into ice cream maker of your choice I use the kitchen aid ice cream maker I make gram cracker crumbles to put on top it is great give it a try either way key lime pie is awesome and I was just looking at some of the pics for this pie no key lime pie is not green and it is made only in a gram cracker crust and do not put whipped cream all over it just some little flowerets along the edge and one in the middle with a candied slice of key lime not a reg lime please this is a native Florida dish and we love are key lime pie and each recipe has been handed down sorry it does take a lot of time to zest and juice these little gems but it is truly worth it and please no food coloring a native Floridian will not touch a green key lime pie because it I fake we all know this the only green should be the zest and that is it.
