Molly's Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
This recipe seemed great at first read, because it contained so few ingredients (meaning easy!) While the flavor was pretty good, the cook time was much too long for the drumsticks. Ours came out way overcooked. I would reduce the cook time in the slow cooker to 6 hours (maximum!) on low, and remove promptly from the heat afterward.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I think this recipe is pretty good. One thing that I think is misrepresented is the preparation time. It took me 1.5 hours to make this, and I was working as hard and fast as I could. For instance, it took almost 30 minutes (rather than the stated 15 minutes) for the large potatoes to be boiled to tender.

Vegetable Fried Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
Excellent recipe - it's always a hit with my family and at potlucks. It's incredibly fast and easy to make. This is a weekly dish in my household. A great way to use up day-old rice too! The only thing I do differently than the recipe is to substitute soy sauce for teriyaki sauce, and skip the salt. I definitely recommend using brown rice instead of white.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
I was really excited about making this, and I followed the recipe exactly, but it just didn't turn out well. It was overly greasy, overcooked and bland. The blandness really surprised me, given all of the flavorful ingredients. Something is definitely missing. I won't be making it again.

Vegetarian Korma

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
This was very easy to make, and it was absolutely delicious. It was a hit with my husband, and even my mom liked it. I served it over brown rice. The only thing I did differently from the recipe was continually adding broth (you could use chicken or veggie) while the potatoes were cooking to keep the veggies moist in the pan. I will make this as often as I possibly can. Another bonus is that it helps use up vegetables in your fridge. Good potluck dish, I'd imagine.

Cheesy Goulash

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This recipe is easy and a great way to use up leftovers. (I had half a can of tomato paste, some plain cooked pasta, and three potatoes in my fridge I wanted to use up.) You can adjust it however you want and it still turns out pretty good. I agree with the other reviewers that it needs some additional flavor. I suggest adding fresh ground pepper, garlic salt and just a bit of chili powder.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

This is a great recipe, very easy and delicious. I added 2 tsp of minced fresh ginger and 1/4 tsp of ground ginger to the peach mixture, and it turned out great!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This is an excellent recipe. I changed it a bit - rather than use ground beef, I used ground chicken. Also, instead of thyme and sage, I used poultry seasoning. Brown rice tasted really good in this recipe.

'Chinese Buffet' Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
I was not at all impressed with this recipe. The beans were not flavorful at all. I had to add a lot of extra salt and oyster sauce to get any flavor at all. Not recommended.

Barb-a-fu

This tofu turns out so amazingly flavorful. I love the cornmeal mixture the tofu is "breaded" in. Recipe was also very easy to make. Great for vegetarians.
