About this Cook
I'm 32 years old and live in central GA. I'm a teacher and my husband is a banker. We have one child, a girl, plus a dog and a cat. We joke that if we ever have a boy, we'll be the All-American family. :P
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new stews and soups. I'm a freak for anything with chicken. I am also starting to love casseroles since they are easy to make, store and cause little mess.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian, so we love pasta, anti-pasta, spedini and a big bottles of wine. Salut!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I make something for the first time and it turns out ok, that's a triumph for me!
My cooking tragedies
When I was 18 and in college, I thought the heat from the pasta would be enough to warm the jarred sauce. Fortunately, I've learned much since then.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
This was great! I used self-rising instead of all-purpose, powder and salt. Grating takes forever, but it was worth it since I got TWO loaves. I made one with walnuts, and one without for my allergic daughter. Next time I will try some of the add-ins. Thanks!

Summer Squash Puffs
If you like hushpuppies, you will love these! They were awesome! We have an abundance of squash and was a bit sick of grilled and sauteed. This was just what I wanted. I followed the directions except used self-rising instead of all-purpose and cut the salt by at least half. Added a bit of garlic powder and omitted the onion because I didn't have one. We will make these again this weekend for a party. Can't wait!

Buffalo Chicken Dip
This is my favorite dip ever! I make it easier on myself by dumping all the ingredients in my crock pot and let it do the cooking. Just be sure you rinse off the chicken before you use it.
