Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
This was incredible! I used ground turkey sausage instead of ground beef. It was awesome, the entire family loved it! Will definitely make this again.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
This is a great recipe! I didn't have regular pinto beans, but had some ranch-style beans. The sauce added some great flavor to the chicken mixture! I also added some taco seasoning to the chicken, and added salsa to the bottom of the pan, and also spread a little salsa over the top, then added the cheese on top. We like "saucy" enchiladas! The creamy filling is to die for! Thanks for a great recipe!

Johnny Marzetti I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
I love this recipe! This reminds me of the "hot dish" my family made growing up. I didn't notice any lack of flavor as previous posters have mentioned... however I am in the habit of always seasoning my ground meat while cooking it. I thought this recipe was comforting and delicious!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This glaze was wonderful! I used it on a 3 lb boneless ham, and adjusted the ingredients accordingly. It was simple to make (I omitted the orange juice and zest as I had none) and it made a lovely glazed crust on the ham. Great recipe, thanks!

Hamburger Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This was a very tasty recipe. I made no changes but next time I will likely double everything as the ingredients only filled my casserole dish (9x11) halfway. Thanks for a great recipe!

Creamy Mushroom Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This was the first time I had ever made creamed peas and I am so glad I tried this recipe first. It is the only way I will make them from now on! I only made one substitution - I didn't have cream so I used evaporated milk, and a little extra butter. I also used canned mushrooms instead of fresh. This was delicious, and everyone at the table loved them!

Oat-Rageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
I am not a baker, and these cookies were my first attempt at 'made from scratch' baking since I was a teenager! That being said, these came out very good! I didn't rate them 5 stars because hubby thought they were a little dry (I did too, but I am usually pickier than he is). Next time I make them I'll try using more brown sugar and less white sugar, to see if I get a moister result. However I just loved this combination of chocolate chips, oatmeal, and peanut butter. It was a huge hit with my 5-year olds and I like the fact that there is a little protein in there for them. Great cookie recipe, thanks!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
This is by far the best tasting breakfast casserole recipe! I also substitued ricotta for the cottage, as no one in the house but me cares for cottage cheese. I ended up using 14 large eggs, since I wanted the casserole to be mostly eggs instead of mostly sausage or potatoes. I also salted the potato layer and pre-baked it to add crunch. I was in a hurry so I baked it at 400 for about 30 minutes, then reduced it to 375 and covered the edges to prevent over-browning, and it was done in another 20 minutes. This recipe is awesome in soft tortillas with a little salsa, and it fed 7 people breakfast for 2 days. Thanks!

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
I was so excited to try this because it looked so yummy. But the end result was less than spectacular. We are an egg and sausage family so I thought this would be a big hit but I must have done something wrong - it came out very dry, bland and potatoey. I will try it again but will season the potatoes and put them on the bottom of the pan. I will also add salt & pepper to the eggs, and maybe will add more milk or perhaps a milk and butter mixture to moisten and add flavor.
