Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

I doubled up all the spices (not the salt), as well as adding paprika and a basil/garlic seasoning blend.... Oh and used 1 cup chicken broth & some sugar. my family loved this

The Greatest Grilled Turkey

My family has been grilling our turkeys for years.... Sometimes I brine it before hand, & other times we've injected it with seasoning or garlic butter.... and with all the modifications, it's always amazing; it's not about the seasoning, it's about the cooking process. I've got my oven to bake everything else & no turkey mess to clean up after thanksgiving. [:

Crescent Pizza Pockets

My children enjoyed them. I will note that I made them vegetarian & left out the meat. I replaced the meat with some veggies & fresh basil. I wouldn't really recommend these for adults because the crescent rolls seem too sweet for the savory filling. Also it was extremely messy to put together. It was a good test recipe.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This is the greatest indulgence. It's sooo bad for you, but wow it's insanely good. I doubled the broccoli, added fresh garlic and one cup real cheddar/monterey jack shredded cheese, cut out the 1 cup of water, and used a cup of the broth to mix the cornstarch. Lastly, I added paprika to taste. MY family just loved this.. & I mean they reallllly LOVED this. In fact my son's friends ask me to make it when they come over!! It's now a tradition in my house.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

The dough works and tastes better if you let it sit over night in the fridge. We didn't care for these at all using the dough on the same day. I had so much left over I decided to bake the rest on the following day. The cookies were 100% better.

Oma's Fabulous Matzo Ball Soup

I make this with vegetable broth... this is amazing.. The key to light matzo balls is the pre boil them in salted water covered tightly with a lid for 20 mins.. Then add them to the soup to serve.

Elizabeth's Pesto with a Southern Twist

This is really a delicious version of pesto sauce! I made this recipe as is, I didn't sub any ingredients at all.. & it was great! It took me literally 5 minutes to throw everything in my food processor & top my hot pasta. I personally loved the strong garlic & lemon zest. Next time I will use less fresh parsley, the flavor was a 'tiny' bit strong for me, but I prefer a stronger basil taste in pesto. The cayenne didn't make this too spicy, in my opinion. However it DID bring out another level of flavor that my husband especially LOVED.. I will continue to make this recipe in my dinner rotation. I served this on top homemade pasta (I used the recipe "basic pasta" & the spaghetti attachment on my kitchen aid mixer) & garlicky sautéed shrimp.
