Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
This recipe is surprisingly similar to the Better Homes and Gardens recipe that I've been using for years.

Apple Spice Cake

This had a great flavor! I also made a streussel to put on top and baked it in mini loaf pans. It was delicious. Nice and spicy and good apple flavor!

Kaese Spaetzle

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
Oh man, this was wonderful! I didn't have the cheese it called for, so I used half colby and half fontina (I know, I know), but it turned out GREAT and it would have been better with the original cheese. I would recommend that people get a spaetzle press/maker because using a colander is a pain. Good recipe!!! None left.

Jeanie's Falafel

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2007
This was good. I used fresh parsley instead of cilantro, and I added a little water because it was crumbly (I was doing it in a food processor). If you do this, don't be tempted to add water; falafel is not fried mush balls, like mine, it should have texture. I think this is why a food processor is not used. Oh, I added coriander too.

Cinnamon Rolls I

Everything about these were perfect! The dough was relatively easy to work with, and the result was fabulous! I put icing on them; but they don't need it. Make these ones!

Banana Date Flaxseed Bread

Made this this morning. I used an egg replacer for the eggs and only used ground flax. Very good! Thanks to the reviewers for persuading me to make this one!

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2006
Very easy bread, however I wasn't that impressed. I guess it was a little sweeter than I had hoped; maybe it needs more salt. I would alter it a little more and make it again.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
Really wonderful! My dad and boyfriend couldn't stop eating them and I couldn't eat less than three in one sitting. I added more spices, and I used Ener-G egg replacer instead of eggs. I also completely substituted the wheat flour for spelt flour and it was just as good, if not better! Make this one! It feels like Autumn now!

Blueberry Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
Meh. It was just okay. It didn't have much flavor, and the texture wasn't what I wanted. I even added lemon zest and vanilla just to be safe. I would go with a different recipe.

Angel Food Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
Good cake. I've made some in the past, but this was the best. I did process the sugar in a little chopper I have, and I also added 1/4 tsp almond extract with the vanilla. Other than that, I followed exactly. The family ate it with strawberries and they raved (I'm vegan and didn't try it). They will probably ask me to make it again.

Good dough! We made 2 small pizzas and it was perfect. It is easy to make it thick or thin and crispy. The flavor is good too. Make this dough!

Beezie's Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
Seriously very good. I made it differently on the stove top, I really just wanted the recipe for the spices. I used 1 can of black, 1 can northern, 1 can pinto and I pureed an extra can of black beans. I sauteed the veggies first, then added the can of tomatoes, juice and all, and then the lentils. I added the beans and then like 3 cups of broth. I let that simmer and then I added the spices. It's simmering now and I will put the rice in soon. I can't stop sneaking tastes!! Make this one!!!

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2004
This recipe had potential. It had an awesome flavor that made you want more, but unfortunately my bread machine didn't perform. It's an old model with a hole at the bottom. When the cycles were finished, the bread was undercooked, didn't rise well, and the crust was mostly white. I finished it off in the oven but it still wasn't done. I think I need a new machine.
