Saw all the rave reviews so I thought it was safe to try for a dinner party without making one to test ahead of time. I used fresh strawberries & raspberries and followed the rest of the recipe exactly as called for. The crust did taste great and so did the berries - the reason for only 3 stars is because it came out really greasy. 1 1/2 cups of butter is WAY too much to add to this recipe. After dishing out one serving, you could see the melted butter pooling up on the bottom of the baking dish...really unappetizing & too heavy for a crisp. I will not give up on this recipe though, I am going to try making it again, but this time I will follow what several others have recommended with less butter.
