About this Cook
Married with 2 grown children and 1 grandchild, I recently returned to school and completed a bachelors degree. I am currently considering graduate school. I work part-time as a dental hygienist. Cooking has always been a great love of mine. I love entertaining friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
I like to experiment with new things, but I especially enjoy Italian cooking. I make a great Italian beef. I love cooking hearty soups, and I enjoy bread baking. I like to utilize a bread machine during the winter months. During the summer months our grill works overtime. In addition to the traditional fare, Jerk Chicken is a family favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to prepare my grandmother's Croatian Christmas bread for the holidays, and I occasionally make her stuffed cabbage rolls for family get togethers. I also enjoy making many of my mother-in law's specialities, especially her recipe for turkey tetrazinni. She was a fantastic cook!
My cooking triumphs
I get rave reviews for my yeast breads, especially my monkey bread.
My cooking tragedies
There haven't been too many, but I once had a disaster with a checkerboard cake. The slippery icing caused the top layer of cake to slide off!

Jamie's Minestrone
Love it! I didn't have fresh herbs, so I used 1 tsp. dried oregano and 1tsp. dried basil. The fresh veggies make it special. I will be serving this again!

Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
I doubled the ingredients as it makes a small amount. Good and simple recipe.
