I graduated from The Secchia Institute for Culinary Education in April of 2012 after attending for Culinary Management. I started cooking when I was 8 years old, my first ever dish I made was Pizza Burgers. I've always been able to read a recipe and decide if it'll work or not, and if it doesn't work I can usually fix it.
I have a lot of other hobbies aside from food, but food is my main love. My facebook is full of photos of food either that I made or that I ate somewhere. I really like food photography and want to be a food stylist and have my own bakery (or restaurant.)
My favorite things to cook
My signature dish is alfredo with a parmesan baked chicken. But I love making quiches, anything pasta, chicken kiev, chicken cordon bleu, chicken teriyaki, and many other things.
Baking wise, I make some killer brownies, peanut butter cups, peanut butter cookies, red velvet cookies, mint chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and pecan pies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and I do a lot of the cooking for the holidays, and I always help her with the baking. And every Christmas she makes Kiflies which are a tradition in my family. They are a thin pastry dough wrapped around a walnut mixture and dipped in powdered sugar. It takes two days to make, and is very time consuming. But they are called for every year and every year they disappear.
