Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2004
I loved this!!! I used regular cream of chicken soup and 2 cups chicken broth I made with chicken bouillon/soup base. I add carrots and cut chicken up bite size. Sooooo tasty. Never made dumplings - these were easy and very good. Thanks!

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
This was quick and easy. The kids loved them! the flavor definitely had a hint of a cake-like bar. I sometimes just buy a cookie mix pouch and add 2 extra Tbsp oil to pkg directions and put in 8 x 8 pan also which is also good....

Montreal Peppered Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
This is the ONLY marinade I use now on my strip steaks. Tip...make sure you purchase thick (1" - 1 1/2" thick)steaks. Preheat grill long enough on high heat to sear in the juices. close lid- turn once half way thru. Grill about 10 minutes total for medium rare...the best way to eat steak!!!!!

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
This was a great recipe and when in the mood for a whole fryer chicken this is wonderful but I do tend to like the boneless and skinless better since carving can be messy. Nice in the summer. I used leftovers for chicken salad sandwiches.

Cod with Italian Crumb Topping

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
I try use fish 1x a week since it is healthy and I didnt follow exact directions...so maybe that is why I felt this recipe was just nothing great. I dredged it in the topping rather than just placing it on as a topping. I would rather use a beer batter or my recipe for crab stuffed haddock/cod (see online) jellyko

This is a great marinade for pork. I loved it- I wrapped the cooked strips into wontons and sauteed in pan to lightly brown and crisp up wontons...drain on papertowels and serve with a favorite mustard honey sauce...

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2004
I had to comment on some of the reviews because everyone finds a great recipe I must say I started making these by boiling and they are awesome the important thing to remember for tender ribs whatever method is ..low (the temp.) and slow (cook time). I bring ribs to a boil and immediately bring down to low simmer almost 2 hours and they literally almost fall off bone- I then marinate with favorite sauce overnite and grill 20-30 minutes to get grilled on sauce....

I really enjoyed making such a simple meal and everyone did enjoy this! I made using green pepper and onion seasoning since my kids don't like to see "things" in their food. Very good though!

Sweet and Sour Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
I loved these. I used fresh beans and boiled them and saved water for the recipe as called for. Was tasty and I love to find a good side dish since I always can pick a good main course but always seem to stumble with what to prepare with it. I will definitely make these again!

As these were baking the wonderful smell made my mouth water. They were so tender and easy to make! I had no wine but chicken broth substituted fine. I cooked about 45 minutes and then added the soup mixture and baked the additional 30 minutes. GREAT home style meal your family will love........

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2004
I needed to make easter cookies for a girlscout meeting and decided to try this one....It turned out beautifully. I made egg shape cookies with cookie cutter. I cheated though and used regular vanilla frosting and decorated them with my kids. Tasted great and had fun!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2004
I loved this recipe Sue! SOoooo easy and good. It took me 4 1/2 hrs using temperature. I didnt even get to marinate as long as suggested and will next although tasted great. One hour before cooking was finished I halved some red potatoes, diced some bacon and chopped some onion and placed in skillet with oil to brown about 10 minutes. I then used slotted spoon and placed them around bottom of pan of chicken to cook the final hour and they were a great side dish with the chicken!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to use the leftovers for and chicken club salad wrap. Mmmm!!

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2004
I decided to use 1/2 the brown sugar as suggested and used this "marinade" on baked ham which I sliced up and mixed all well in crockpot. I cooked on high 1 hour and 2 hours on low. I liked it and reminded me of the appetizer with cocktail smokies. My kids did not care for it and my husband thought it was okay but prefers meat to taste like meat and not one for to much sauce...I liked it and as with many of my recipes I will have to file it until my kids appreciate my love for trying out recipes!

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2004
We love this recipe...we usually cut chicken into tenders before dipping. A bit messy prep work but worth it! My kids love with dipping sauce like blue cheese or sweet and sour sauce. Thanks for such a family friendly meal.

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
I loved this smoothie! A special treat...I made at a party and the kids and pregnant friends loved having a special drink that is tasty and healthy. I used nonfat yogurt and it was great...I might try using the honey in place of sugar next time to see how that tastes too.
