Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2001
I'm (not much) sorry to say I wish I could have given this recipe a lower rating, like a zero. I did not like this at all and neither did my husband (a mustard lover). It was VERY greasy and just plain tasted bad! If in doubt, AVOID!

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2001
This is just like the one my mom would make! Putting the big pieces of banana in didn't work well for me, so instead I put them in a ziplock bag, removed as much air as I could and squished them with my fingers then dumped the bananas in the bread machine pan and it works great!

Twenty Minute Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2001
This is a great recipe. My husband and I just love it. I cut the recipe in half and put it in my bread machine on the DOUGH setting and it works just great! But make sure there is just the right amount of flour so it's not too sloppy or too stiff in the machine. Thank you for sharing this one! I had always wanted to make hamburger buns at home but all the other recipes I used had a tough outside, but this is nice and soft, just like if they came from a bakery!

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2000
This recipe is great!!! I made it again last night using olive oil instead of vegetable oil and added oragano, parsley flakes, onion powder, garlic powder and some Italian seasoning and it was delicious!!! Hubby was dissapointed when I said he couldn't eat the whole loaf!!!

Spritz Orange Crisps

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2000
It is a great recipe. Not a lot of flour taste(that's good), the orange flavor is a nice change, nice and light, and they would be great served with sherbet. I added more orange juice and a bit of water because I used a frosting bag and a large frosting tip. The taste is really good, for stronger flavor you could try using orange flavoring(don't add too much!!) instead of orange juice. I also melted a bag of chocolate chips in a doubble boiler with 3-4 TBS. of shortning and after it was melted I used some dried mint leaves (from our own garden), chopped them up very fine in the food processor and then put them through a flour sifter and then added that to the melted chocolate and half dipped the cookies. YUM!
