Obviously, I must have hidden masochistic tendencies to want to blog my cooking, lol. But what the heck, if someone gets a chuckle out of this, it will be worth it. I'm of Italian descent, so Cooking = Love, lol! I have no formal training, and I'm hardly a gourmet chef, but I can usually get the job done.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy bringing my slow-cooker to work on overtime Saturdays, and letting lunch cook while I work. My co-workers rarely complain.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When being asked to contribute to my grade school's cookbook, my poor mother quipped, "If I don't burn it, the kids are disappointed now." To her horror, they published it!

Subsequent attempts to recreate the 20-pound Lasagna of Doom, lol! Lightning only struck once with that recipe.

Mushroom Rice
Very easy and fairly quick to make, and it went well with both the Chicken Cordon Bleu II and Oven-Fried Parmesan Chicken recipes on here.

Stuffed Green Peppers I
This is a pretty good recipe, but it is very bland as written; it tasted like a meatloaf wrapped in cellulose. It's more like a recipe foundation for tweaking. The soup added a sweetness that I found distasteful, so I'll probably use a pasta sauce next time. Look at the other reviews for suggestions on seasoning. Oh, and don't go with large peppers; mine were about 5" after I cut the tops off, and the filling barely got all 6 half-full.

Rempel Family Meatloaf
Meatloaf! Paradise by the Oven's Light! This got gobbled most quickly, lol! The texture was just a bit lacking ... something, I don't know, but I think I did it to myself by crushing the crackers too thoroughly. Next time I might halve the soup and add some minced onions.
