About this Cook
I love food. Point blank. One of my earliest memories is one of my mom teaching me to make pancakes at under six years old. When I got older and had permission to use the microwave, I started experimenting with various ingredients and things I found in our kitchen. In my early days these "experiments" were very horrible I have to admit, but it was very fun and good practice. Later on I started to be able to distinguish tastes and what foods taste good together. Now I have become very talented with cooking and I have to hide the fact im cooking so the "vultures" (my family and friends) dont devour it before I can get a piece lol. Im not a generally concieted person but I'm just very proud of my cooking experience.
My favorite things to cook
DESSERTS!!! Crepes, Sugar cookies, & Brownies are my specialties. Not to mention MOCHI!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well sadly I dont have any but I love watching people smile when they eat my food. ( But not the crazed smiles they give me when they're chasing me for one of my baked goods XD )
My cooking triumphs
Well I have been begged from people for my brownies and crepes especially so I guess theyre good.
My cooking tragedies
Ohh don't get me started "sweat drop" I have set two microwaves on fire, melted through a thick microwave safe bowl, burnt a plate, burnt a pot... broke many plates and set of fire alarms XD My worst kitchen experience was my first attempt on making caramel. Heres some tips: once it turns a golden color TAKE IT OFF IMMEDIATELY!!! I learned this the hard way. It takes quite a while before it changes color but when it does, it goes from golden to BURNT in a matter of seconds, SECONDS!!! NOT FIVE BUT TWO MORE LIKELY!!! I hope you never have to experience burning candy XD Well hope you enjoyed reading my profile and happy cooking!!!

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle
I made peanut brittle for the first time today in chemistry class and my shoulder hurts from constantly stirring and using a bunsen burner was very hot and unpleasant. Lol. This recipe has the same exact ingredients as the one I made today and well I haven't made this one yet but the steps are basically the same just using different appliences. I gave this recipe a five because this is utterly GENIUS!!! So fast and simple compared to the amount of time it took to make it the usual way (I was late for my next class) Thank you sooo much Linda C. !!! Some tips from me: This tastes great with macadamia nuts or almonds. Very delicious. Since I am allergic to peanuts I omitted them and it still tasted delicious and buttery OMG SOOO GOOD!!!
