Delightful! Made a half recipe (only 1 loaf). Used 1/4 cup warm water to dissolve yeast & set aside. Used remaining 3/4 cup warm water to dissolve sugar & salt while yeast was dissolving (approx 10 min.). Used greased pan & also added a little oil. 2nd rise took a little longer than 30 min., but rose faster when I placed it on top of my pre-heating oven- I'll do that from the beginning of the second rise next time & see if it rises faster. After 25 min. of baking the top was plenty brown. May check earlier next time or reduce temp. Wonderfully good!!! Good substitute for sour dough bread if you don't have a sourdough starter! Highly recommend the recipe!!! I'll definitely be making this one again!!!
