Bacon Olive Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
TASTY! Not knowing what to use for "cheese sauce", I mixed chopped olives with cream cheese. Any left over, I knew I could use with crackers. I was unable to roll the strip of bread so I just folded it in half and placed the open side down on the bacon and wrapped. While cooking, a lot of the cheese oozed out. I really didn't think this recipe was going to be successful but was pleasantly surprised at just how tasty they were! Next time I think Ill try velveeta cheese. Thank you RONNIEB for sharing your recipe!

Blueberry Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
GREAT breakfast muffin! Not too sweet, just as the description claims. It tasted more like a biscuit than a muffin. I took the advice of the submitter and sprinkled sugar on top before baking. I didn't feel there were enough blueberries in the batter so I added an extra handful. The walnuts really add a nice flavor and texture to it. I am giving this 4 stars because I feel it needed the extra blueberries. Thank you Mrs N for sharing your recipe.

Fruit Sherbet

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
REFRESHING! A cool refreshing treat for a hot summer day. My only changes were to use 2% milk and freeze in my ice cream maker. The flavor has a nice balance between sweet and tart, and the texture was smooth and slightly creamy. This is a recipe I would be proud to serve to company! Thank you Mary Ann Benzon for sharing such a REFRESHING treat!!

Barbeque Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
GREAT! I made this according to the recipe with no changes. I had planned on grilling chicken thighs tonight when a thunder storm hit. I quickly did an ingredient search and this recipe saved the day. It was so easy to make and did not tie me down to the kitchen. I threw in a bulb of garlic and made roasted garlic mashed potatoes as a side dish. The smell of the barbeque chicken along with the garlic had our mouths watering. Nothing beats chicken thighs on the grill but this recipe sure saved the day and was GREAT! Thanks you RENA R. for sharing such a GREAT recipe!!

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
YUMMY! I was using the oven for a chicken dinner tonight, so I thought it would be a good time to try this recipe and roast the garlic. I cut off the tip of the garlic bulb before sprinkling it with olive oil. My chicken got baked at 300 degrees and the garlic roasted nicely leaving it in an extra 15 minutes. The smell of it roasting was mouth watering and the finished dish did not disappoint. There were no leftovers! In the future I plan to make it with red skin potatoes and leave the skins on. Thank you Kathleen Burton for sharing such a YUMMY recipe!!

Pork Chop Grill

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
EXCELLENT, JUICY! So moist and JUICY! This was so simple to prepare. I took out frozen pork chops and placed them in the marinade to defrost. I used dried herbs because I didn't realize that I never planted thyme. While they were marinating I ran to the nursery like a good "AR Addict" and bought and planted thyme. Of course, I added the 2 sprigs first. This was so juicy and flavorful that Hubby claimed it doesn't need to be served with applesauce, it can stand on it's own moistness. 10 minutes on each side was perfect for my grill. I kept the temperature of the grill around 350-375. Thank you Marianne for sharing your recipe. I will be marinating all my pork chops this way for added juiciness.

Easy Teriyaki Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
SOOO GOOD!!! I made this recipe without any changes. Hubby liked the moistness the canned pineapple added; but, next time I may use fresh pineapple so it will stay on the kabob better. These were absolutely delicious! Thank you Kikkoman for the recipe!

Raspberry Sorbet or Granita

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
YUMMY! I made this recipe for tonight's dessert. I followed the recipe except for the freezing. Since I didn't have 6 hours for it to freeze, I froze it for an hour to get it cold, then put it into my ice cream machine. The end result was a yummy raspberry sorbet. Thank you Toasted Garlic for sharing your recipe.

Jan's Pretzel Dogs

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
AMAZING! These are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was surprised at just how easy they were to make and fun too. I made half the recipe because there was only two of us. It was perfect for one package of hot dogs. The grandkids are going to love them. Thank you WFDM for sharing your AMAZING recipe and a special thank you for recommending my dip! UPDATE - Today I made the pretzel dogs with cheese. I used American cheese which I sliced with a pizza wheel, making it thinner than the dough strips. I pressed the cheese into the dough strips a little then wrapped the dogs. It was necessary to seal the edges between the strips so they would hold up in the water. This all worked well; but, when I baked them, the cheese oozed out the ends. I posted a photo to show the oozing cheese. They tasted great but my conclusion is they really don't need the cheese. I made these to freeze because I found that they freeze so well. I put them in the microwave frozen and heat at half power. They taste as good as fresh baked! Try these, you don't know what you're missing!

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

AWESOME! We love blue cheese and we really enjoyed this dressing. I left out the buttermilk and white wine vinegar as I didn't have any and it was still amazingly good. I will be making this recipe again only in bigger batches. Thank you LUCKYME9 for sharing such an AWESOME recipe!

Amazing 'Pizza' Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
FANTASTIC! I loved how easy this was to make. Put it on the grill and forget about it. 25 minutes was perfect for my grill. The combination of oregano and basil with the tomato and mozzarella really reminded me of pizza! I loved being able to use my home grown herbs. I only wish my Ramapo tomatoes were ready. (Next time) My only changes were to use shredded mozzarella and put the herbs on before the tomato. You have a winner in my book, Andy!!! Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
EXCELLENT! Just as "favabeens" did, I used a pork shoulder and Bullseye Original BBQ sauce. After shredding, draining, and adding the bbq sauce, I cooked another hour. It was so tender and flavorful. I had invited guests and everyone loved it! This recipe is a keeper! Thank you Livie's Mammy for sharing your EXCELLENT recipe!!

Blueberry Spread

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
VERY NICE SPREAD! I had some frozen blueberries that I needed to use, so I tried this recipe eventhough it called for fresh blueberries. I made it according to the recipe. After it jelled we tried it. The blueberry skins made the texture chewy; so, I emptied the container into a saucepan, heated it, then ran it through a strainer. Once cooled, I refrigerated it overnight. It jelled again and made for a very nice blueberry spread that would be great on top of waffles or pancakes. It reminds me of a cross between blueberry syrup and jello. Thank you Lovesmurfs for sharing your recipe!

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
EXCELLENT! I used this recipe to make individual chicken pot pies to freeze. It was easy to do and no changes were necessary. The dough was so nice to work with. I used a silicone sheet to make the crust easy to pick up. The recipe makes 3 individual pies with top and bottom crusts. I double it and it works nicely. I will be using this recipe often. Thank you Jan Bittner for sharing.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
EASY & DELICIOUS!! I followed this recipe with the exception of using fresh oregano from my garden. My plan was to taste and add what seasonings it needed to make it according to our likes. To my surprise it didn't need a thing. It just seemed too easy. Perhaps that's why it's named "Easy Pizza Sauce" III. I will be making my own pizza sauce from now on. I froze what I didn't use in premeasured containers. Thank you Brent for sharing your EASY & DELICIOUS recipe!

Grilled Pizza Crust

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
OUTSTANDING! Grilling pizza was a whole new experience for me. When I saw it mentioned on the "buzz", I checked out this recipe and it just seemed so perfect. I didn't have wheat flour so I used 3 1/2 cups of all purpose. The dough was so nice to work with and the directions were easy to follow. We love thin crust pizza and this recipe was crunchy and nice. I also love the fact that there are more frozen in my freezer. Thank you mom4girls for sharing your recipe! I sure hope it gets published!

Churros

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
YUMMY! So easy and simple to make! This is the perfect ending for a Cinco de Mayo meal. I used a 13MM star tip and piped a 4-5 inch strip into the hot oil. I fried them four at a time in my "Fry Daddy". They floated to the top as they cooked and browned nicely. The dough was so nice to work with. Once drained on paper towels, I put them in a bowl of sugar and cinnamon with a lid and shook gently. They are absolutely YUMMY! Thank you Delia for sharing your recipe!
