Crunchy Chicken and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
VERY GOOD! This definitely had a crunchy texture to it. I used a zip-lock bag to coat the chicken which made it so easy to make. The flavor was excellent. Thank you Campbell's Kitchen for another VERY GOOD recipe!

Traditional Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
FANTASTIC! We absolutely loved this pie! It was easy to make; the hardest part was waiting the 3 hours for it to chill. Next time, I will increase the meringue, (although it is not necessary), so I can have a "higher" pie. Thank you Argo for such a FANTASTIC recipe!

Campbell's Kitchen Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Very quick and easy! I was looking for something new to do with left-over chicken. Although the pie was good, we prefer a rolled dough crust over a baking mix crust; also, I would add seasonings. Thank you Campbell's Kitchen for a very quick and easy recipe!

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
JUICY & DELICIOUS! I love the flavor the rosemary added to the chicken. I made no changes to the recipe but I did roast it in my Pampered Chef clay baker with lid. Tender and juicy. Thank you LILQUIZ for sharing your recipe!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Very tasty and flavorful! The only change I made was to leave out the raisins as we don't care for them in our oatmeal cookies. We love the spiciness of this recipe. Thank you Beth Sigworth for sharing your tasty and flavorful recipe!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
DELICIOUS! I love that the bananas are sliced not mashed. It sets it apart from other banana bread recipes. The bread is so moist and the edges are crunchy. I had to skip the walnuts for health reasons. Next time I may add fresh cranberries and make it into muffins. Thank you vjonsson for sharing!

Snow Day French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
This recipe sounded like it would be so yummy, but I'm sorry to say it was not to our liking. The only change I made was to add cinnamon to the sugar. I used English muffins as suggested, but they were too soggy and hard to keep from falling apart. I really wish we could have enjoyed it. Thanks Laura Owen for sharing your recipe!

BBQ Chicken Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
Perfect game day food! They even look like little footballs! This was so easy to do and the chicken mixture can be made ahead of time to set you free to watch the game. I followed the recipe but sprinkled the cheddar cheese during the last two minutes of baking so it wouldn't burn. Thank you Pillsbury for an excellent game day recipe!

Crescent Pizza Pockets

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
YUM! These make a nice appetizer for a ball game. I microwaved my pepperoni for 30 seconds to get rid of any grease as I don't like greasy pizza. It didn't take long for these to disappear. Thank you Pillsbury Crescents for a yummy easy recipe!

Herbed Eggplant Slices

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
Garden Fresh! It was enjoyable to cook from my garden. The amount of herbs called for was more than needed. The eggplant was looking dried out rather than crispy so I brushed with a little oil and baked a little longer. The end result was better than I expected. It made flavorful baked eggplant slices. Thank you NIBLETS for sharing your recipe!

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
FANTASTIC! What a great soup for a rainy fall day. Comfort food at it's best! It was the first time we've tried gnocchi and Hubby and I both really enjoyed it. Thank you Christina for sharing this FANTASTIC soup!

Beer Batter Crepes I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
EXCELLENT! I followed the recipe but did not wait the hour as instructed. Hubby was hungry. I filled the crepes with cherry pie filling and I'm looking forward to using other fruits as well. I had never made crepes before so this is a new addition to our breakfast selections. Thanks Magique for sharing such an EXCELLENT recipe!

Cheesy Potatoes I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
VERY GOOD! I cut the recipe in half as there are only 2 of us. Other than that, I followed it exactly. To cut down on prep time, I peeled and sliced the potatoes and kept them in a bowl of water until it was time to prepare dinner. This was a very enjoyable side dish to a ham dinner and I will be making it again. Thank you Holly Bobst for sharing your recipe!

Watermelon Ice

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
VERY NICE FLAVOR! I followed the first two steps; then did a taste test, and added the mixture to my ice cream machine. It was as simple as that! As I like sweet, I used 1 tsp. of sugar to enhance the sweetness of the watermelon. We like watermelon ice treats and we liked this. Thank you missBAKER for sharing your recipe!

Out of this World Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
Tonight I made this recipe as a side dish to go with Polska Kielbasa and I was not disappointed. I used a cookie cutter to make the shapes but it really would taste just as good chopped and save time as well. If you're a person who eats with their eyes, go for the shapes. I could not get whole wheat wagon wheel pasta, so I just used the whole wheat spiral pasta and it is something I will use again. The only change I would make is to sprinkle with parmesan cheese prior to serving. This was yummy! Thank you Hidden Vallley Ranch for your recipe I couldn't tell the dressing was "light".

Tom and Jerry

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
This was a nice after dinner treat. I cut the recipe to two servings and used an electric mixer to make the egg whites frothy. It wasn't as creamy as I would have liked (personal preference), so next time I will use cream in place of milk. Perhaps, Bailey's, as others suggested, would also make it creamier. Thank you Verushka for sharing your recipe!

Brandied Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
VERY GOOD! I cut the recipe in half as there are only two of us. The flavor was not as sweet as other recipes, which really surprised me. Hubby preferred it to be a little sweeter, so next time I'll add a little dark corn syrup. I simmered it while I finished cooking dinner and it thickened nicely. There were no left overs! Thank you Kathy Bennett for sharing your recipe!

Praline Pull-Apart Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
This recipe was a challenge for me. I followed the recipe exactly, but when it came time to knead the dough, it was the consistency of cake batter and I used all 5 cups of flour. I added extra flour to make it a soft dough as the recipe says. The end result was a heavy coffee roll. It came out looking nice; but, I'm sorry to say, the texture ruined it. I feel there is a mistake somewhere.

Pork Medallions with Balsamic Vinegar and Capers

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
TENDER & FLAVORFUL! This is another excellent recipe, Marianne; it was "melt in your mouth good"! We loved the capers and balsamic sauce. My only change was to use 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 3/4 tsp. salt as I didn't have garlic salt. The recipe was easy to follow and I found all the times were perfect. Thank you Marianne for sharing this TENDER & FLAVORFUL recipe! I will be making it again.
