Garlic Chicken Sausage and Summer Vegetable Saute

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
VERY GOOD! I tried to make this according to the recipe but I didn't have zucchini or polenta. I substituted them with asparagus and rice. It wasn't until I went to add the balsamic that I saw it was out-of-date; so, I used two tablespoons of Yoshida's gourmet cooking sauce. I couldn't have asked for a better taste. We thoroughly enjoyed this meal and I will make it again, probably the same way. Thank you alfresco for sharing your recipe.

Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausage Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
DELISH! I made this according to the recipe. The only thing I will do different next time is to add croutons. I didn't think I would like warm sausage on my lettuce so I let it cool off a little before mixing. I also sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Oops, I did have a change. Thank you al fresco All Natural for sharing your recipe!

Linguini with Roasted Vegetables and Tomato Basil Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF GOOD! We really enjoyed this recipe and look forward to having it often. My only substitution was using minced garlic for fresh as I didn't realize I was out of fresh garlic. Hubby kept telling me throughout dinner how much he was enjoying it. A definite keeper. The meatballs are fabulous!

Instant Chocolate Covered Bunnies (On a Stick)

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
YUM! What I really like about this recipe is how fresh the marshmallows will stay being coated with chocolate. Coating the bunnies with different flavors of chips will make for a nice variety. This recipe is so simple yet it's goodness really took me by surprise. So cute too! It will be an added treat when I hold the Easter egg hunt this year. Thank you Ciera for sharing!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
FANTASTIC! I used Angus beef chuck cubes and basically followed the recipe adding worcestershire sauce in step 1. I used extra vegetables which caused me to add more bouillon and water. I kept adding until the veggies were covered with broth. After the veggies were tender, I added the cornstarch gradually until it was the consistency I desired. This stew was "knock your socks off good"! It is going in my recipe book and will see a lot of use. Thank you Paula for sharing such a FANTASTIC recipe!

Crab Imperial II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
5 STARS without a doubt! I am not a person to mess with the flavor of crabmeat. Therefore, I was a little hesitant to try this recipe. What I can tell you is it enhances, not changes, the flavor of the crabmeat. I used lump crabmeat but wouldn't hesitate to use jumbo lump. It is that good! I skipped the cayenne pepper but other than that, followed the recipe. I have only a little left over and I plan to stuff a couple fillets of flounder for tomorrow. I served this dish with a side of sweet potatoes and coleslaw. Thank you Al Peacock for sharing your recipe. It's a winner in my book!

Crackle Top Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
EXCELLENT! I made this according to the recipe and realized it never told you to add the vanilla extract, so I didn't. It was a wonderful chocolate fudge topping. Hubby said to please keep this recipe. He loved it! Knowing his favorite flavor is mint chocolate chip, I added some peppermint extract to some of the left-over sauce and asked him what he thought. "Absolutely a winner!" Either way, this sauce is EXCELLENT. It is truly a 5 star recipe in our book!! Thank you Kathy for sharing this EXCELLENT recipe!

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
VERY YUMMY! This recipe was easy to make and took such little time. If you're a fan of semi-sweet chocolate and peanut butter, you will surely be pleased. I used an ice cream scoop and made them larger so I could top them with an Easter Peep. These are a 5 star yum in my book!

Sugarless Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
YUMMY & EASY! I used half the pudding as I only had 1 cup of rice. What a wonderful way to use left-over rice. It took no time to make. Thank you Ruth Hannan for sharing your recipe!

INCREDIBLE Raspberry Cheesecake Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I love the "hit" of raspberry in this delicious cookie. I also discovered I am married to a cookie monster! This cookie not only tastes good, it is pretty to look at. As I could never find the raspberry chips, I decided to make my own. I used 2/3 cup white chocolate, 1/4 tsp. raspberry extract, red food coloring and a little shortening. I piped the morsels using a zip lock bag onto parchment paper. A few minutes in the refrigerator and they were good to go. The cookies were so easy to make. I found baking 12 minutes worked for me. (note to self for next time). Thank you mis7up for such an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE cookie!

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
DELICIOUS! I had about 2 1/2 lbs. of apples that were starting to get soft spots so I was happy to find this recipe. I cut the recipe in half and it took about 7 hours to cook. I did the spoonful on a saucer test to tell when it was done. This tastes awesome when spread on cinnamon raisin toast. Thank you Terri for sharing your DELICIOUS recipe!

Beginner Chicken and Dumplings

A WINNER! I used chicken thighs only and added potatoes and carrots. I also skipped the soup and used my own broth and gravy. I seasoned with some parsley and marjoram. It was a WINNER for us! Thank you heatherg for sharing!

Peanut Butter Pudding Pops

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
VERY GOOD! This is a peanut butter lovers delight, a very rich and creamy treat. The only change I made was to use 2% milk in place of whole milk. I had a hard time unmolding them, so my suggestion would be to use cups that you could tear away in place of molds. Thank you Heidi Lynn for your recipe!

Awesome Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
EXCELLENT! This was my first time making egg rolls. I used packaged coleslaw mix for the cabbage and carrots and a can of bean sprouts. It made 18 egg rolls, which a portion of them I froze. They were "Oh so good"! The egg rolls went perfectly with the Homemade Wonton Soup recipe from this site. I will definitely be making this recipe again. Thank you ROUVER for sharing!

Acorn Candy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
YUMMY! I used Nutter Butter Bites in place of vanilla wafer cookies and Reese's Peanut Butter Chips in place of the butterscotch chips. To attach I melted some of each candy and dipped into it so it wouldn't show where it was attached. They were YUMMY! My reason for the change is that I was looking for something peanut butter for my step-father. This recipe is going to make him so happy. The hardest part is keeping Hubby away from them. I know I have to make more! Thanks WFDM for another YUMMY recipe!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
AWESOME! This is a fabulous recipe for left over chicken or turkey. Hubby is a big fan of rice so this was a real hit with him, as well as myself. The changes I made were to use whole milk, homemade chicken stock, and a larger 6.2oz. pkg. of wild rice with seasoning. (It was what I had on hand). This is definitely going into my cookbook. Thank you Stephanie G for sharing such an AWESOME recipe!

Jumbo Dark Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
My new FAVORITE! I followed this recipe exactly but I will say I hestitated a couple of times. I tasted the batter and it did taste too salty but not after it was baked. Also, I hesitated to make them with a quarter cup measure. I thought surely they would be too big. Wrong again. Perfect! I am a chocoholic and I loved these!! I am going to make these again and add peanut butter chips, and another batch with mint chips. They are a nice size cookie to wrap for a bake sale. This recipe is going to get a lot of use at my house. Thanks Nestle Toll House!

Roll-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
GREAT TASTE! I had a difficult time rolling this dough. After an hour of trying and only completing a half dozen cookies, I gave up and rolled the dough into little balls, flattened, and dipped them in cinnamon/sugar as I knew I wouldn't be making the frosting. I must say that after baking these were very tasty and worthy of five stars! Thank you Bonnie Price for sharing your recipe!
