Moist Chocolate Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I make these all the time! I love them!p @Merchant_M : you can't give these an accurate rating because you left out the chocolate chips, one of the key ingredients! Of course it wasn't chocolatey enough, you didn't add the chocolate chips!! Shame on you.

Grandma's Hash Browns

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
I love hash towns but could never get them like you do in a diner or Coney Island-- mine were always mushy/gooey. NOT ANYMORE! The magic of putting these in the drive overnight, or 6 hours in the day like I did, makes these just as good as your local diner!

Cream Of Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Delicious! I will make this again! I didn't have access to cream so I substituted 3/4 cup of milk with 1/3 cup of butter. Based on other reviews I also doubled the recipe. My husband can't handle too much spice so I halved the curry.

Chicken Paprikash

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
This was fantastic, even my 2 yr old liked it! I used more like 2 or 2 1/4 pounds of chicken because I wanted leftovers and there was still PLENTY of sauce, I will always use 2 lbs of meat from now on. I live in a 3rd world country and there is no sour cream, only creme fraiche, so I used that and it was still great.

Turkish Red Lentil 'Bride' Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2014
This is the best lentil soup EVER! My spouse is middle eastern so I've had my fair share of lentil soups. This is the best! I love that it's a 1 pot meal too- no blender required. I left out the cayenne pepper because I didn't have any, I used a couple dashes of chili pepper instead. Even my fussy 16 month old baby liked it! I will be making this again! Thank you Genevia!!

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2013
This soup was delicious, I think it would be a good side dish with a Steak. However, if you're making this soup as the MEAL-- double it!! This soup only made two large bowls. Definitely not enough for more than 2 or 3 people as a meal. You won't have leftovers!!

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
This was incredible! Per previous review I skipped the breadcrumb mixture and just floured the chicken breasts, then browned them. I also lowered the brown sugar slightly and thought it was still sweet enough. I would make this for company - it can have really nice presentation if you choose to do so! Thanks Judi Ann!!

Honey Mustard Chicken Bites

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
I loved this recipe! So easy and delicious! My only complaint is that I marinated my chicken in the dressing for over an hour and still couldn't taste the dressing which I made from scratch. I will marinade longer next time.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
Pretty good, not "wow" I followed this exactly as written. It was good, but not amazing. I would try another recipe before making this again. It is quick and easy though which is a plus.

Herbed Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
I've used this recipe a few times-- it's fantastic! I make it with "chicken and dumplings II" from allrecipes.com. I accidentally used 3 teaspoons instead of 3 tablespoons tonight and it still turned out great! This is a keeper.

French Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
These muffins were fantastic! One of my new fav recipes from allrecipes.com!! With that said, I only got 7 recipes out of this, did anybody really get 12?! The recipe just says to fill the muffin tins with the batter, it doesn't say 1/2 full or 3/4...I did about 3/4 and got 7. Next time I will double this!

Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
This was very good, tasted more like dessert to me (I made it intended for a side dish) but my husband liked it so much he had thirds! Per others suggestions I also used 1/2 c white sugar and 1/2 c brown sugar....I would do that again. I accidentally forgot the powdered sugar on top and it still had nice presentation, this dish is already so sweet I would make sure to very lightly dust with powdered sugar next time--it doesn't need a y help in the sweetness department! Overall, very good dish!

Basic Microwave Risotto

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
I love onions and this was too overpowering with the onion flavor. I would sauté the onion first next time I make this. Other than that it was great.

Sausage Frittata

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
This is very tasty, however I gave 4 stars and not 5 because I had to put my skillet under the broiler because after 17 minutes the middle of the skillet was far from done. I put the skillet on my stove's biggest burner and it still wouldn't cook. When I put my skillet under the broiler to cook the top it came out wonderful. I put my onions in the skillet while my sausage and potatoes cooked because raw onions on top just seemed odd. Having them sautéed with the sausage and potatoes gave great flavor. This is a great recipe because you can use it as a base and change so many things like which kind of cheese you use, adding veggies, etc. I would even make this with ham cubes instead of sausage in the future.

Ricotta Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
10 min baking wasn't long enough, I live in N Africa and my oven usually cooks twice as fast as my oven back in the USA, I cooked these cookies for 10 minutes and they were still gooey inside. After I frosted them I decided to take a risk and put them back in the oven for a few additional minutes, glad I did...

Unstuffed Cabbage Dinner

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2014
I made this exactly as is and give it 4 stars. I made changes after I made it as written and would give it 5 with the changes. I added a can if crushed tomatoes and extra pepper. I also added a dash of paprika, garlic salt, a splash of white vinegar and a small spoon of brown sugar. Delicious!

Basque Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
This was indeed truly something different. I read previous reviews and decided to add a generous dose of Almond extract to the custard--without this I feel the flavor would have been bland. I would also try lemon extract but my family prefers almond. I'm not much of a baker and I was very proud of myself for the way it turned out. Other than the almond extract, I followed this step by step and it turned out great! tastes wonderful with coffee. What I like most about this recipe is that it only needs a few basic ingredients, you can whip this up without having to go to the grocery store.

Mini Pumpkin Sage Balls with Balsamic Creme Fraiche

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
These were great! I was very curious as to what they would taste like and the best way to describe them is stuffing! American comfort food at its best! I used a very expensive and gourmet balsamic vinegar and i thought the sauce was pretty good, but not out of this world. I thought it kind of took away flavor from the pumpkin ball. HALVE the sauce, it makes too much!! These are great appetizers, I will keep this recipe!!
