Moist Chocolate Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I make these all the time! I love them!p @Merchant_M : you can't give these an accurate rating because you left out the chocolate chips, one of the key ingredients! Of course it wasn't chocolatey enough, you didn't add the chocolate chips!! Shame on you.

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2015
With my changes this is 5 stars. 25/30 minutes was not long enough for the lentils to be softened. I cooked the lentils for 30 minutes and they were still incredibly. I had to cook my lentils for at least 45-50 minutes and even then I could've cooked them longer but I was too hungry to wait any longer! Because I had to cook my lentils longer I added more water and sprinkled in more taco seasoning.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2015
Unlike other reviewers, I did NOT think these had too much white sugar--actually the opposite, I doubled check to make sure I didn't forget sugar because I thought they could've used a tad more. I accidentally added 1 cup instead of 1/4 cup of walnuts and I'm glad I made this accident, 1/4 cup wouldn't have been enough for my liking. I also added a couple dashes of cinnamon and vanilla extract per another persons suggestion and I'm glad I did, they would've been bland.

Sausage Frittata

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
This is very tasty, however I gave 4 stars and not 5 because I had to put my skillet under the broiler because after 17 minutes the middle of the skillet was far from done. I put the skillet on my stove's biggest burner and it still wouldn't cook. When I put my skillet under the broiler to cook the top it came out wonderful. I put my onions in the skillet while my sausage and potatoes cooked because raw onions on top just seemed odd. Having them sautéed with the sausage and potatoes gave great flavor. This is a great recipe because you can use it as a base and change so many things like which kind of cheese you use, adding veggies, etc. I would even make this with ham cubes instead of sausage in the future.

Cream Of Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Delicious! I will make this again! I didn't have access to cream so I substituted 3/4 cup of milk with 1/3 cup of butter. Based on other reviews I also doubled the recipe. My husband can't handle too much spice so I halved the curry.

Lebanese Stuffed Zucchini (Coosa/Koosa)

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2014
This is a good base recipe for Lebanese Koosa, however, there's 2 big things missing: dried crushed mint and Lebanese yogurt (Leban). Allll Lebanese I know eat this with Leban on top and generously sprinkle crushed dried mint on top. With these two additions, which are essential, it's very good.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2014
I cooked these for 2 hours on high in my slow cooker (with no tooth picks) and they turned out great. I put toothpicks in them before serving just for easy clean eating. I have a busy 2 year old so the less clean up the better!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2014
This is wonderful, I added salt and pepper because I tasted it halfway through and it was a tad bland. There's no sour cream where I life so I HAD to use creme fraiche, it was very tasty.

Chicken Paprikash

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
This was fantastic, even my 2 yr old liked it! I used more like 2 or 2 1/4 pounds of chicken because I wanted leftovers and there was still PLENTY of sauce, I will always use 2 lbs of meat from now on. I live in a 3rd world country and there is no sour cream, only creme fraiche, so I used that and it was still great.

Basic Microwave Risotto

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
I love onions and this was too overpowering with the onion flavor. I would sauté the onion first next time I make this. Other than that it was great.

Grandma's Hash Browns

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
I love hash towns but could never get them like you do in a diner or Coney Island-- mine were always mushy/gooey. NOT ANYMORE! The magic of putting these in the drive overnight, or 6 hours in the day like I did, makes these just as good as your local diner!

French Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
These muffins were fantastic! One of my new fav recipes from allrecipes.com!! With that said, I only got 7 recipes out of this, did anybody really get 12?! The recipe just says to fill the muffin tins with the batter, it doesn't say 1/2 full or 3/4...I did about 3/4 and got 7. Next time I will double this!

Sambusaks (Sumboosaks) with Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
This dough was so dry my sambasks fell apart while frying. I tried using water/olive oil to help seal the edges, then I used the fork again to crimp. I'm so disappointed. I think the dough definitely needs more than 1/3 c water....

Ricotta Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
10 min baking wasn't long enough, I live in N Africa and my oven usually cooks twice as fast as my oven back in the USA, I cooked these cookies for 10 minutes and they were still gooey inside. After I frosted them I decided to take a risk and put them back in the oven for a few additional minutes, glad I did...

The Best Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2015
This is a keeper! Took other reviewers advice and nearly doubled the cocoa powder for that nice dark brown color. Also added a little extra flour (as I do with all chocolate chip cookies).

BBQ 'Pulled' Tuna Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2015
These were delicious but they were a little zippy for my liking, I will do less than 1 tbsp of steak seasoning next time. The sauce was also a tad runny, I will do a little less than 1 cup next time.

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2015
I doubled the soy sauce and then shook in a couple extra drops! With 1/8 the rice was practically still white, i would be anxious to see other peoples thoughts regarding the soy sauce amount.

Unbelievable Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2015
It was way too saucy! I more than doubled the squash and it was still saucy- my husband who knows nothing about cooking told me I should've added more squash, I told him there were at least 6!

Feta Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2015
I don't like Feta cheese and freakin' LOVED this!!! The cream cheese definitely balanced out the flavor and prevented the feta from being too strong (in my opinion). All my guests loved this and my mother in law asked for the recipe! I ate the leftovers all by myself!
