Broccoli and Provolone Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Perfect! I made this recipe exactly as written adding only a sprinkling of flour to the broccoli to absorb excess moisture. I used a Pillsbury crust in my own 9" pie plate and the amount was perfect. Took it to a bridal shower brunch and got raves!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
Love this!!! I have never made the sauce, but I make the falafel all the time without changing a thing. I actually do broil them about 4-5 minutes on each side instead of frying though. I serve them on whole wheat buns with cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, alfalfa sprouts and a little mayo. My husbands favorite dinner!

Ziti with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This is a great recipe. I did add 8 extra oz of roasted garlic tomato sauce and will probobly add even more next time. I also added some fresh minced garlic in place of the celery. My husband and his friend both went back for seconds.

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
Yum!!! My husband (who NEVER cooks) actually made this himself! Such great flavor. We added a can of Northern Beans and substituted beef boullion for water. Excellent recipe. We will make again.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
So yummy! This is my kind of cookie. Very moist abd soft. I followed the recipe exactly and was very happy. I handed out the recipe all day at work. My husband enjoyed these too (I watched him eat 5 in about 2 minutes!)

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
This was an excellent recipe. I didn't use any extra salt for the rub. I also added a package of chopped mushrooms the same time I added the bouillon. I did remove the chops and thicken the sauce with cornstarch in water (3 T of each). The one mistake I made was overcooking the chops. I had thin, bone-in chops and they could have cooked for a much shorter time. This was very good with garlic mashed potatoes and peas.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
This is a very good, very basic recipe. I used a bottle of spicy V8 juice in place of the tomato juice. Next time I will use more beans and maybe a little tomato paste. This recipe is a great source of Lycopenes. Thanks for a good, healthy recipe.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
This is a great recipe. I followed it exactly, but I probably used more garlic than 1/4 tsp. I used 2 small cloves. Next time I will add more cheese (maybe 1/2 cup of Romano plus something else... maybe jack.) I made this for 7 people watching football and it was gone in 15 minutes!

Banana Cream Pie IV

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
This is now called "Kyle's Birthday Pie" in my house. My husband loves this! I make this just as the recipe says. I also add some sliced almonds to the top. Next time I'm going to try this with "Graham Cracker Crust III" from this site instead of a pre-made one. The recipe calls for cinnamon graham crackers and I think that would be so yummy with this pie. Thanks for this one!!!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
This was great! My husband loved it. He hates water chestnuts so I substituted chopped, toasted cashews which were very good. I also omitted the pickled ginger which I could not find. This was a very simple wonderful recipe that I will make often.

My husband and I love this. I always make a big batch when we go camping and we eat it everyday for lunch. I add more curry because we like that flavor. This is so yummy!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Took many other's advice and used the butter flavored crisco, crunchy peanut butter, vanilla, less salt, and added peanut butter chips. Got raves with my in-laws. Great with a cup of coffee.

Needs something extra. It would be better if it was sweeter with more of a spicy kick.

This is so yummy! I added a lot more cilantro, because I love the flavor. I also used monterey jack cheese instead of cheddar. I used Lawrey's HOT taco seasoning. Next time I will make a double recipe becase it was even better the next day.

A new favorite. We loved this at my house. I used garbonzos instead of cannelinis (a personal preference), but did everything else exactly to the recipe. It will make great leftovers!
