About this Cook
I am a daughter, mother, and wife. I have 2 beautiful daughters, Aurora, and my baby Anastasia. I have the best husband in the world!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking sweets and treats. Cookies are my favorite thing to make. I cook dinner every night (most) and enjoy finding new things to cook. I try to expose my girls to different flavors and foods as much as possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies are traditional in my home. I learned to bake cookies with my aunt Von, whom I adore, as a child. I bake tons of cookies at Christmas time. I average only about 12 kinds between Thanksgiving and Christmas now that I have children.
My cooking triumphs
Honest? Pork Tenerloin. Never even tasted it but someone gave me one and now I'm hooked. Love it.
My cooking tragedies
Making dinner for husband when we where first dating. The gas pilot whent out on the stove. The cream corn was expired in the can. And I forgot to get milk for the mac n' cheese. We ate out.

Blackberry Muffins
I made these this morning and I think they are excellent! I did change a small detail or two. I didn't have enough blackberries so I topped it off with some blueberries, I didn't have the sugar for the topping so I used some oats, and I don't like pumpkin pie spice (I hate ginger) so I used apple pie spice. I usually coat my berries in some flour before mixing them in the batter, I forgot to do this; and I don't think it was needed the batter was thick enough that the berries didn't settle.

I made this with some meat we had left over from philly cheesesteaks. I added onion, red bell peppers, and 2 garlic cloves. I also used Grands Biscuits from Pillsbury. My family LOVED them! I plan on working these in as a regular on my menu. Oh, and I have a convection oven and only needed to bake them for 9 min.

Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia
I will most defiantly make this one again! It was so easy and quick. We only had frozen filets to work with but they thawed so quickly it wasn't an issue.
