About this Cook
My husband and I love to go on week-end adventures with our dog Sunni.. where I take photos. We've traveled coast to coast but the Grand Canyon is my favorite.
My favorite things to cook
I love allrecipes, and trying the different recipes, and find the reviews very helpful. I try them out on my husband and very few have gotten a thumbs down.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up learning "down home cooking" since moving to Arizona learning and liking Mexican cuisine.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for two can be a challenge but the calculate section helps...

Potato Chips
These are great! It is a wonderful snack and the taste is far better than bag potato chips. The best part, you don't end up eating the whole bag! One potato is plenty to satisfy that craving..

Fried Irish Cabbage with Bacon
I've been making this for years..I shred the cabbage instead of chopping it cooks more evenly. BIG TIP: you can also use pre-shredded cabbage from the grocery store, which makes it fast and easy. I add whatever I have avail. onion red or yellow, celery chopped finely. I also have prefried bacon in my freezer which is very convenient. And I keep the bacon grease in the refrigerator for seasoning other dishes. My husband loves this dish. And even if you don't like cabbage, you may want to try this, it just might change your mind on cabbage.

Torsk
I could never cook fish. Always over-cooked it. After trying this recipe, I went exactly by the instructions. My husband tasted it and said"Now you can cook fish! This is perfect... It does taste a bit like lobster with the same texture. It was the best fish I have ever attempted to make.
