Baked Spaghetti Squash with Bratwursts, Andouille sausage, and Veggies

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2015
Followed baking instructions, but made a few substitutes: Instead of beef I used 1/2 lb. bratwurst and 1/2 lb. Andouille sausage. Other substitutes: 1 cup diced poblano pepper instead of bell peppers, 1 cup extra sharp Cheddar cheese, and 1 cup Monterrey Jack cheese. Sprinkled about 1/2 cup "4 cheese" mix over top after 20 or 25 minutes of baking, and baked another 5 minutes until cheese melted.

Cheesy Peas

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2014
Very good. It needs a different cheese, although I don't know what. The cheddar overpowered the other flavors. But, it was still very good.

Tomato Mozzarella Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2014
I followed the recipe exactly as Joann Han prepared it. It is light and has a perky flavor that is perfect for a 90 degree day.

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 20, 2014
Interesting. I have been making this same recipe since 1988 without the cayenne pepper. I got it from a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix, AZ. The fresh minced garlic and "green" onions are the most important ingredients. I squeeze and discard the pulp out of the tomatoes before chopping them. Once in awhile I will add a pinch of Lawry's Seasoned Pepper and Lawry's Seasoned Salt.

I used spinach fettuccini and ground garlic salt in the water. Followed the rest of the recipe exactly. It was easy to make and delicious. Will be making this a lot and for company.

Kale Chips

Glad TMPNorth shared putting the kale in a plastic bag with the oil and seasonings for a more even coating. Makes it so much easier.

Spinach, Sausage and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2013
I halved the recipe for 4 people. Just before putting it into the oven I sprinkled granulated garlic over the top. After removing the casserole from the oven I let it sit on a trivet for 20 minutes and then cut it into servings. My husband and I loved its flavor. I did not serve any sides with it and it was plenty satisfying.

Carolina Style Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
I substituted fresh lime juice (because I had no lemons) for the juice, used 1/3 cup (by accident)each white and cider vinegars, substituted granulated garlic for the dried minced garlic, and eliminated the barbeque seasoning. It turned out delicious. I put the remaining sauce in the refrigerator to use another time.

I fix this a lot. When I don't have spinach I use broccoli and it's just as good. Yum!

Chicken Walnut Cheese Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
Delicious and easy to fix. I chopped the walnuts and (because I didn't have blue cheese) substituted grated Watonga Onion Cheddar cheese.

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
I used frozen asparagus thawed and dried with a paper towel. I baked it one more minute because my husband and I like the asparagus soft. It tasted delicious and it was so easy to do. The garlic powder and parmesan and sea salt gave a delightful flavor to the asparagus.

Real Texas Chili

Am I the only one to notice that the photo for this recipe shows beans in it? Thank goodness there are no beans in the ingredient list. A very tasty chili and after the leftovers were refrigerated for 4 days even better.

Asparagus with Tomatoes

The asparagus was very tasty without any bitterness. I followed the recipe but left out the crackers and simmered it about 2 minutes more to soften the asparagus more.
