I am a single mom of 2 girls. Recently moved back in with my mother to help her out with changes in her life, like dialysis and being on oxygen 24/7. I LOVE TO BAKE! I will try anything that is a dessert, and my entire family is the guinea pig! I wish I had paid more attention when I was younger and watching my grandma make holiday dinners. She made it look effortless. Now I know better. I am currently attempting to teach my 10 yr old daughter to cook and bake. Interesting challenge. I made an Upside Down German Chocolate cake for my mom's birthday one year and it was the first time that I made it. I thought I did it wrong because the bottom where the coconut and pecans were got hard and crunchy. Heck! That turned out to be everyone's favorite part! Making a cake in the microwave back in the 80's. Enough said.
